After a long day driving, arriving at quality Powerhouse Armidale was a welcome surprise. The rooms were very luxurious and the Tapas Bar for dinner and drinks, not to mention the Morrocan inspired decor was sublime. Best hotel by far and we would know as we stayed at 6 different establishments on our way to and from the Gold Coast. After a long day driving from Queensland, arriving at quality Powerhouse Armidale was a welcome surprise. The room was comfortable and dinner was one of the best I've had from a motel restaurant. The best country motel I have stayed at in a very, very long time.

None of the old "well, we will have to charge you per page" business! Late check out due to a school function? No problem. No extra charge. Wonderful!. Rooms and entire hotel were beautifully decorated with top quality fittings and fixtures. Wonderful ambience, staff were very friendly. My partner commented it was by far the best hotel he had ever encountered in a rural town. Comfortable room, well equipped, even with music system. Marble bathroom with tasteful fittings and decor. Restaurant food was amazingly good, although expensive. Armidale seems like a pretty town. This is a great holel! The room was very comfortable with bathroom tiles which provided heat! Much needed during the cold winter months. I will book again next time I am in Armidale. the luxury décor - very impressive. bathroom tiles, vanity and shower recess design (double sliding doors). large shower head. floor lamp. Found Lobby very welcoming Very pleased with our room. Most comfortable. Very clean & modern bathroom & very comfortable bed. Luxurious room, we slept very well. I stay in many hotel..... The Powerhouse is the cleanest I have ever stayed in and I am fussy!. the hotel is very clean and nice furnished. it is a very comfortable place to stay. Breakfast was excellent Service good Reception-very helpful with internet issue. Underfloor heating in the bathroom! Luxury at its best. Very grand atmosphere,lovely decor,close to everything. Loved the shower!! I loved everything about my stay. Everything. Except the way my towels are placed. Cleanliness and the restaurant was very nice. loved service , room and excellent food. A trivial point I know, but the soap holder in the shower could be better positioned. The breakfast could be a bit more comprehensive. was not informed how to operate hose for smaller shower head. couldn't close bathroom door to vanity area as not enough room in the bedroom area. no breakfast menu listed. Found dinner menu prices very dear for a regional town. Nothing. Nothing. No pool. a bit noise from the outside of the window during the day and night. Room service menu needs more variety & maybe a hamburger on the menu!. Towels should not be placed under the shower mat. I know both of them are cleaned but it did not looks right though. Also the towels touched toilet seat when I checked in. But both of them are minor problems, need a little improvement and will be a perfect place to stay. TV remote not working and controls difficult. Remote had batteries replaced but still didn't work. Felt the decor a little sombre. wi fi was patchy. Overpriced. Room did not match the photos. Presedential suite has pictures of spa. Room had no spa. The fact we weren't allowed breakfast as we had booked online???? and no one had made the effort to accommodate this . The reason we stayed was because I had stayed before and breakfast was great.
