  Very helpful staff and a warm and cozy place to stay! They had a large common area to meet & eat breakfast (which was included in the room rate).   The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was slightly better than we are used to in Argentina. There are nine rooms around a small central garden. The garden provides for an excellent location to read a book or enjoy the sun. The rooms are cosy and clean (not large). Good value for money.   We spent 2 nights in El Calafate, wished could have stayed longer to extend the stay at La Cantera. Service was perfect, Giorgina in particular made our stay soo easy, smooth and hassle free that made us happy to be there. The tours organised through the hotel were cheaper than those we had researched online. Thanks!

Staff speaks very little English but helped me with many things with my broken Spanish ( did a great job with laundry and reasonably priced, taxi in the morning, booking me for another day, holding my suitcase while I travelled elsewhere for a night.
