Blown away by the plush, stylish apartment. We visited York with my parents & this 2-bedroom apartment suited us much better than two separate hotel rooms, as it provided a social space (kitchen, dining table, sofas and TV)
Incredibly convenient for walking to key places in York; train station, the Shambles, the Minster and, highlight of the trip for my husband, the National Rail Museum.
The lovely Heather at reception is also wonderfully helpful :)

The owners of the hotel were first class in all departments. I would stay again without hesitation, as everything fit the bill for my requirements. The city was just a 15 minute walk, the location was quite and peaceful, the cooked breakfast was as good as I have had on my travels. The Livingstone's were very accommodating by assigning us their main floor room. It was a wonderful room and easy to move around in.

Beautiful room;very clean and plenty of space. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast! Perfect location; very quite but only a few minutes walk to the city through the museum gardens. This is a quaint hotel. Best accessible via car. However, easy accessvia bus. Should indicate bus route from downtown. Place is veryclean,beds are very comfortable. Good value for the money. I didn't arrive until 11.30 pm because of a delayed journey from London, however the person on duty was very helpful. I requested an iron and iroing board at 7.30 am the nextmorning which was brought immediately. The pool was superb, good hearty breakfast(full English), only a 20 min walk into town and a hotel with free parking(unusual for York). Nice standard 2 star hotel which was comfortable with every thing working. Really good restaurant too. The staff were friendly,helpul and professional.They could not fo enough for us.We were very surprised at the variety of the dinner menu and the "specials"available.We decided to eat in and enjoyed a superb well cpoked meal.Breakfast very good too and no traffic noise even though I was at the front of the hotel. -
