Ce que les gens disent
Brendan Chase is conveniently placed and just a half-hour walk to Lake Windermere. David, the owner who greeted us, was extremely helpful when we first arrived drawing a map for us and pointing out places of local interest and some picturesque walks we might have missed otherwise. The WC and showers are not en-suite, because this is an older building it is not really feasible to have these facilities in the room, but they are conveniently placed and proved to be no problem. We only stayed for o. tous commentaires »
After reading some earlier reviews I approached My stay at Brendan
Chase with an open mind . Al I can say is that perhaps many of the more
negative comments have come from people with a cultural difference .I
found David very knowledgeable as to what to do in the area and the
entire set up was excellent . a wealth of different places to
eat/drink just outside the front door along with the quaint village
shops If only all B&B establishments were of the same standard For
the techie lot the Wi.
David the owner is very friendly and helpfull. He took the effort to share with us all the places to visit in the areas around Windermere & even marked them on the map for us. The English breakfast was sumptous & had great helpings. We forgot our son's windcheater in the room and David was kind enough to send it to us by post for free.I would gladly recommend Brendan Chase as a comfortable place to stay in Windermere.
Convenience location, near the train station and its easy to take buses
around. Very nice and friendly owner, David, giving us a warm welcome
with detailed information of what to do and where to go in the area.
Nice breakfast and very good service. Will come back next time.
David is a nice person. He cared about our stay in the lake district. And he gave us very helpful advice and cooked us delicious breakfast. He is like a parent and we are part of his big family.
David was very helpful with suggestions for eateries in the area as well as excellent advice on things to see and do. Breakfast was delivered quickly and was of a high standard.
I went with my father for a two day walk in The Lake District. David
gave us very good information and tips, what to do/see. We liked his
typical English humor and breakfast.
Very nice gentleman running the hotel, he was very helpful about us turning up quite late. It is a super old house and in a convenient location.
Good value for money, right in the middle of the town. David is a wealth of information for places to visit. Lots of brochures, information.
The location is perfect, as its near the rail/bus station. The room was clean and comfortable, just nice to go back after a day out.
This B&B is clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. A friendly and funny host, overall good value for money.
The location is good, just 5 mins walk from Windermere train station. and the traditional English breakfast is good as well.

Great advice from David (proprietor), not only about the local area but also regarding our travels afterwards.

Very good experience for staying here.
Staff very friendy and helpfull.
The owners sense of humor.

location and price.
the breakfast.
Location was good and weather made the stay a very pleasant trip, breakfast wasn't a good as i thought it could be !!.
easy on line booking and we had to alter our booking which we were able to do over the phone without any problem.
It was very convenient and central in Windermere. The landlord was very friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel is very good. The rooms are also good sized & clean.
Location, breakfast, friendly waitress serving breakfast.
Staff was very helpful and acted like a teacher.
The views , breakfast was nice.
Vicinity of railroad station.
clean and no nosie.
the location.
Was unable to stay for longer.
Parking was a challenge but this was a small problem.
The loo was a staircase away.
parking is not easy, but David was very helpful in getting our car parked.
there's no private washroom in the room, just two for all the guests.
It may be better if David had provided me with advice a little bit earlier.
N/A.
lack of ensuite facilities.
Parking is not guaranteed, can be an issue, even though the owner did his best to find us a spot.
The shower water was too small and it was freezing in such a cold spring.
The room itself for four adults wasn't en-suite but we were aware of that and it was no real inconvenience to us.
Vegetarian breakfast - i.e. it was the meat breakfast minus the meat - with even an empty space on the plate. If you ask the night before whether people are vege - then it implies you are going to provide something for them - this definitely didn't happen.
Lack of parking!.
nothing, everything was fine.
the room was a bit dated and small for a family room, but was clean.
There could have been a toilet on the landing near to our bedroom rather than a shower. The breakfast could have been a bit hotter. I did not see any facilities for wet coats, boots etc.
The rudeness of David, the miserable git running the place, who did
nothing but moan.
The showerhead in our room was pathetic. I've heard of water-saving showerheads, but these were are something else. The word "tight" comes to mind.
No wi-fi in rooms.
Shared bathroom and away from lake but still good.
Communial bathroom.
Bad windows, so in winter there is too cold.
the man who was in home was talking in firm way to me and also told me it is not good to walk without boots in uk houses but that was in a rude way.
sharing toilets with 3 floors cold shower
a little chilly in the room thin cussions.
