  We have stayed before and the standards have varied but we were very comfortable. Warn against over zealous staff. We were challenged for "running" on the first morning. - room decor was lovely with a clear view over the cathedral.The food was of very good quality and reasonably priced, the staff were friendly and helpful

  Hotel staff were very friendly and most helpful. The lift had broken so the staff insisted on helping carry our bags from the car (I am disabled through spinal injuries so not able to carry) up the stairs to the room. The room and beds were comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. Breakfast was good providing you didn't have the scrambled eggs... ce que les gens disent » but the sausages were the best that I have tasted in year's! Many thanks to all involved. - We liked the whole package really, the Hotel is very convenient for Wells, with a bus stop outside the door!!! As parking is horrendous, as is the driving within the City, this is most useful, with connections to Bath etc. Everyone at the Hotel was friendly and very helpful, the food in the Bistro was good and reasonably priced. We thoroughly enjoyed our two days there, and would definitely return. Definitely good value.
