  Excellent steak restaurant - fresh beef from the local farms deliciously cooked. The hotel is very central to the cathedral and market-place in Wells. - The open fire in the restaurant, very welcoming. The welcome and helpfulness of the staff. - with extra bed in twin bed room, good!

  We had a lovely room in the historic gatehouse. It was up steep stone stairs but that added to the charm. We loved the historic value and the views from the room. - Convinient location, good price, friendly staff.
