  The smell of the log fire burning was so welcoming as it was very cold outside. The lounge where we sat and enjoyed a pre dinner drink was cosy and attractive although I would have liked to rearrange a couple of the sofas to look at the fire! The restaurant - Staff went out of their way to be friendly and cooperative, the food was exquisite and we... ce que les gens disent » enjoyed it very much. - We loved thee hotel, the room was excelent, the location fabulous with lovely felltop views - even the M6 can look romantic(!), the food was delicious and beautifully presnted and the service was second to none. Love the Sedburgh Soaps toiletries provided and bought some before we left.

  The manager Tony was fantastic. He made us feel very welcome and was freindly.Natalier was also freindly and welcoming.The food that the head chief Sally prepared was excellent it was cooked fresh and served piping hot. The staff that served our breakfast was efficent and also freindly. The room was clean and had sufficent facilaties such as Tea/c... ce que les gens disent » offee Etc. The bedding was clean and there was plenty of clean towels available in the room. Everyone made us feel so welcome as though we had been go - As a cycling group, several of us arrived late but they kept the kitchen open late to feed us which really was appreciated. Breakfast was fantastic and set us up well for our second day of cycling! Lovely place with friendly staff.

  halte d'une nuit au retour d'Ecosse pour le mariage d'un neveu en famille,à 11! 4 générations ! de l'arrière grd père 92 ans à la plus jeune de ses arrières-petites filles, 13 mois ! avons apprécié: situation: village au coeur des pennin, au milieu de nulle part son ambiance et son confort: typiquement britanniques chambres: literie très confortab... ce que les gens disent » le family room: 1 grd lit, 3 lits de 90 de large, reste largement la place d'étaler ses valises! salle de bain confortables, propres repas du soir bi - Loved it all, the staff were so lovely and helpful. The room was gorgeous and I slept well - which is unusual for me! Great that much of the food was locally sourced. Have already told my friends to stay there. Thank you to everyone at the George for making me feel so at home and welcome. - The staff were really friendly and flexible about breakfast time and the time we should vacate our room. They were extremely accommodating and let us back in at 1.30am after our evening out. The breakfast was wonderful!
