good, the hotel was spotless. The receptionist on duty for most of our stay was extremely nice, and very helpful, her name was Denise , a lovely person!. I am sure that when we are in the area again we will be stopping at Harmer Hill. -

Everything.
The meet and greet on arrival from bar staff initially to manager who took us to the suite (which was, to put it mildly, spacious and well appointed), and explained about parking. The service in the bar and restaurant was v professional and attentive without being overbearing. Evening meal was pretty awesome, porterhouse steak melting

I loved my stay the suite was lovely ,view on to the street below ,staff very friendly ,food very good . Great breakfast best yogurt after 3 weeks travelling , Bathroom excellent. The lounge area of the suite is original Tudor black beams and very uneven floors it was great . I arrived with a very sore knee they helped out by getting ice and drinks brought to our room thank you so much . Also a nice touch freshly made biscuits and brownies left with the coffee making .

The hotel is run by caring and professional hosts who provide a very pleasant hotel experience. The Indian restaurant next door is particularly good and at a reasonable price. - Staff very friendly and helpful. Great Breakfast, pleasant room.

did find the pillows in the bedroom a bit hard, but i'm sure the
staff would have changed them if we had mentioned it. We asked for a fan
for our room and it was waiting for us on our return. The breakfast was
excellent, soooo much choice and all delivered hot with a bright
smile.......

This guest house is in a wonderful location, right below the walls of the castle. the owners are very friendly and were very helpful.

The room was simply furnished but purposeful, and was immaculately
clean. The wall mounted tv was annoyingly small, but its unlikely anyone
will be spending hours viewing it. The house is situated slap-bang in
the town centre, and there is limited on-street parking across the road,
though only free from 6pm until 8am. The solitary staff member was
friendly and helpful.

Having stayed in April and having not been impressed, we can only congratulate the staff on the changes. The staff are friendly. The welcome and check-in excellent. The restaurant staff helpful and atmosphere of a good place to work, which gives for a good place to eat too. Food for chain not bad and food a good quality. Hotel was clean and quiet,

1.Location of hotel was super.Located right in the heart of Shrewsbury.
2.Layout of hotel very spacious yet compact.You werent walking miles to lifts or restaurent or carpark.
3.Food very nice and staff very efficient and friendly.
4. Family room very spacious, bright and very clean.
5. Highly recommend it as a place to stay for a weekend of shopping or leisure

The staff and the service was brilliant. I stayed there with my partner and it was a lovely place to spend the weekend. The room was spotless and had everything you'd expect there to be plus more. The breakfast was really nice as well. We stayed in the lodge which is just round the back of the hotel. There were some people staying in there at the

The food was excellent, the staff were obviously well trained and friendly, there were plenty of small parts that added up to a very pleasant stay such as milk in jugs and not cartons, somewhere for the cartons at breakfast, good quality serviettes at mealtimes, clean corridors where it was difficult to keep clean (we ran a finger along a dado rail!) and, joy of joys there was a Country & Western night in their extension and not one sound escaped!

The building itself was old and had lots of character. The bedroom felt like going back in time, in a good way. I do not agree with the reviews that say that it needs updating or that the decor is 'tired'. It's a period property. I liked very much too that there wasn't muzak being played during breakfast. Staff were friendly. Nice to have 3 option

Staff were outstanding in service and responsiveness.
The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced, and the service excellent.
We had to kill some time waiting for hire car and other commitments - the staff were quite happy for us to do this in the lounge / bar area and were helpful and friendly throughout.
