The hosts were really nice and the parking near the hotel is a bonus. The cooked breakfast was superb - one of the best I've evr had at a hotel and we were made to feel very welcome. We received a very warm greeting from the hosts.
Breakfast was superb and well organised. Not many places cater for us vegetarians but they went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Room was a bit small but very well decorated and very clean and tidy.
Good location, easy to get to all places, ideal for anyone attending open-air concerts or just to have a relaxing walk around Peasholme Park.
Would definitely stay again and recommend it to family and friends.

Everything ! The whole hotel is immaculate and incredibly clean. Without doubt the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms are well specified with neat touches like a combi DVD / TV and scented candles. Hosts are very friendly and are very keen to help and ensure everybody gets what they need out of their stay be it local info or just a relaxing time. The food is of a very high standard and t,well presented. Service is first class. There was lots of choices of different breakfasts available

Lovely warm welcome. We appreciated the help with our luggage to our room (elderly couple). Soon we were offered refreshment in front garden. The staff were extremely helpful to me and my small children. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the children feel special over and beyond the call of duty. The hotel was clean and well presented and excellent value for money. Being a single parent with two small children I find that most hotels leave us to our own devices which can be a little daunting. Gary was very helpful and totally understood the need to accommodate needs of guests like myself.

Good welcome, made to feel at home. The room was really comfortable and clean. The Maynard was close enough to town and attractions/beach to walk there easily. great value for money and the breakfasts were superb. -

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable, traditional (working) sash windows, reasonably spacious given ‘squeezed’ into what used to be the servants quarters, with a wonderful view to the westerly rear of mature stands of beech trees, long established hedging and nicely kept lawn. Nice thick towels and tasteful, classy toiletries.

Great staff, very friendly with excellent customer service. Really good breakfast and it also has a excellent bar. I would highly recommend this B&B for its cleanliness, friendliness and value for money. The Tudour wont dissapoint you.

Gill the landlady was very welcoming and friendly - made us a tray of tea and biscuits when we arrived! Room basic but clean and comfortable, breakfast plentiful and tasty!! Friendly dogs as well!! -

All the staff were excellent and welcoming. The entrance, bar and lounge have been recently renovated and look far better than 7 years ago when I last stayed here. The lift is ‘Quirky’ with a certain old fashioned charm. Redecoration has just started on the staircase (Nov 2013) and I am sure it will be better for the work. The location for shopping is excellent and the hotel has its own secure underground car park, although it is a short walk from the hotel. The food is the best in Scarborough.

Though some of the corridors had that slightly battered look of many
older seaside hotels, the bedroom was very comfortable and the public
rooms most attractive. The bathroom was a decent size and well equipped.
Breakfast was excellent: buffet breakfasts certainly have their
advantages, but it was a pleasant change to be served by attentive staff
from a generous menu with a great view of the South Bay.
