Position en centre de la ville, un pub en bas et un restaurant - The fact that my partner and i did not make it for breakfast after a rather late night an although check out time was stated at 10am, the staff left us till 12 ish ( much appreciated ) - Nice clean rooms, look as if they have recently been re decorated.

All the rooms weren't the same which was really good mad it more individual. The pool was a nice extra and allowed you to relax. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, especially Andrew. Room was very comfortable and spotless. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a varied choice for all palates and dietary requirements. Lounge area with open coal fire was very relaxing. Spa facilities were excellent with friendly helpful staff.

clean,comfortable beds & plenty hot water, all needed after a long car trip from Edinburgh & some stops,Falkirk Wheel, Loch Lomond etc.

... ce que les gens disent » here double rooms were extremely small, but again I can only comment for my self and extremely happy with the room and size - I have stayed at the Golden Lion on a couple of occassions. The rooms are very comfortable and staff very helpful. it is ideally located for the city centre and also has a very comfortable bar of its own.

Everything was great from the beginning when we found ourselves in the
hall till friendly good-bye. We loved the breakfast with haggis, real
feast in the morning! There is a warm, homely atmosphere in the house
and we will get back there sooner or later and maybe this time we will

The friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble for any one of them.Even my dogs were welcome. Excellent choice of meals and very wellpresented. James & Nelly the propietors, are the most welcoming and warm people that I have encountered in a long time.
Nelly is bubbly and full of energy, James -, a little more laid back but very affable.
They compliment each other well.

Friendly and welcoming hosts. Very helpful and generous with local
advice. Reasonable B&B rates included excellent Scottish breakfast,
great value. Evening meals simple, tasty and wholesome taken in the bar
lounge with an open fire. Sky Sports channel meant we saw the Masters
golf - a bonus! Really enjoyed our stay over two nights. Would
definitely come back.

Although only staying for one night all staff were courteous and very friendly. Room was spotless and bed so comfortable. Breakfast was excellent too. - Staff here extremely helpful and courteous. Service was prompt. Rooms were spotless and the beds and pillows comfortable.
