Cadre et maison magnifiques. La chambre pour 3 (ou 4) est vaste, impeccable et très joliment décorée. L'hôtesse est vraiment aux petits soins dès l'arrivée (des parts de gâteaux et plateau de bienvenue nous attendaient sur la table basse). Le petit-déjeûner est excellent. -

Beautiful property with high end modern décor. We were made to feel very welcome and cannot fault this accommodation or the lovely breakfast with superb views. Only a few minutes to Edinburgh yet this luxury B&B was a quiet country retreat from the city bustle. Would highly recommend! -

Very clean, very smart and I would thoroughly recommend. I travelled with my two boys (11 and 12) for the Open at Muirfield and was great for access to Edinburgh Waverley whilst being right next to Calton Hill and 15 mins from Arthur's Seat (bottom not top) for the great views of Edinburgh. -

Everything suited us and we felt very comfortable and welcome from the time we arrived. Hostess takes care of guests and very warm and friendly. Felt like home. Very clean and beautifully decorated. We were allowed to use the whole house and garden. Through the hosterss we met new friends too.

Fantastic apartment in a great location, close to the main bars and shops etc. Someone came and met us at the apartment to show us around, how to use the heating, oven etc. The apartment had 3 bedrooms upstairs with 8 single beds then down a spiral staircase to the huge living space, kitchen and patio doors to an outside decking area. The whole family fell in love with apartment from the moment we stepped into the foyer for our meet and greet upon arrival.
Apartment was very spacious, high ceilings, large rooms and 1st class facilities including bath products in all bathrooms, Island bench,washing machine and dishwasher in Kitchen area. Complimentary Coffee, Tea, milk and sugar.

Muy bien ubicado en el centro de la ciudad con acceso a recorrer andando cada rincon de Edimburgo, muy limpio en todo momento con la posibilidad de conocer gente de todo el mundo con la que practicar tu Ingles. Hay que destacar la amabilidad de todo su personal que siempre tiene una sonrisa para recibirte y ayudarte en todo lo que necesites. La verdad si volviera a Edimburgo repetiria en Haggis hostel sin duda.

We had a fabulous one night stay at The Chester Residence. Staff were very helpful and the suite was fantastic. All rooms were very spacious (we had the 1st floor suite) and the location was only about 5 minutes walk from Haymarket and Princes Street. Flat screen tv with multiple satellite channels. Kitchen well stocked daily with breakfast/snack items. Reception/housekeeping more than helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone and return to this hotel without a doubt.

The 23 Mayfield was a total delight! The staff was amazing - everyone seemed like genuinely nice people and happy to help. The hotel owner even gave us an excellent advice what to do and see further in Scotland and let us leave our car in their not so big car park even thought we stayed for only one night. Ross was a very welcoming and relaxed host. He provided us with some good recommendation for locations to visit whilst in Scotland. Breakfast was a gourmet experience with a great range for vegetarians (i had the Campbell's vegetarian haggis both mornings). Room was tastefully decorated and a good size. We enjoyed a cold beer in the oudoor room, which was just what we needed after a full days travel.

We chose this because we don't like to be in the center of the big towns we visit. Even if it is a little bit far from the Edinburgh centre, the bus connection is excellent and at a few steps from the house. The Portobello beach is also close, a stunning place, really worth a visit.
Loved the host, very nice lady and very pleasant. Loved the stories she told me about the house. Very good recommendations also.

This facility is ideal for a multiple night stay. With full kitchen, bath, and laundry facilities in a luxury apartment setting, it was an ideal home-away-from-home getaway. The value of the apartment was far greater than that of a hotel room in our opinion. The staff was helpful in every way and the amenities provided were excellent. It is close to the bus lines and also easy to walk to many of the lovely places in Leith and Edinburgh.
