We checked in to New Lanark Hotel for one night and were upgraded to one of the Waterside, two-bedroom, self-catering cottages. It was a fabulous location, right on the water. The sound of the river was constant, but a lovely and soothing sound. If you don't want to hear the water, this is not the place to be! The walks in the woods are fantastic and the whole complex is definitely worth visiting, especially with the discount for being a hotel resident. They make a real effort to be eco-con

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly-can not praise them enough!!They are connected to the Lee Burn pub next door where breakfast is served and again, the staff were great and the choice of breakfast was vast...offering you extra if you wanted!!Late check out meant a very relaxed start to the day, again many thanks guys. -

The staff were fantastic; they were friendly, welcoming and well presented.
The lounge was tastefully decorated and you could be forgiven for thinking that you were in a boutique hotel rather than a chain.
Our room, while being compact still had a luxurious feel which was great.
I had the full Scottish breakfast which I was very pleased with as it looked appetizing and tasted as good as it looked.
I managed to get a really good rate for our room and a discount on breakfast as we booked online.

I love how the dakota looks it is a beautiful hotel especially the lounge reception and dining area the staff are always lovely and helpful especially tge receptionist that was on when i arrived at the hotel i think it is really good for business occassions.

The staff was attentive and caring. We needed to have laundry done and they did not have facilities for us to use so the cleaning staff did the laundry for us. It has a very European, "boutiquehotel" feel to it. The breakfast provided was delicious. We had twodinners there as well that were a great value. Hotel was modern and the room well provided with facilities, a good bed and good bathroom. Very friendly staff and good (English) breakfast. We traveled by car (without it the hotel is not easy to reach) and choose this hotel for its location for making day trips in and around Scotland. -

The marvellous Meg on reception. Could not do enough for you and she cared that you enjoyed your stay. Otherwise the hotel was much like any other Premier Inn although undergoing extension new-build which did not detract. It is set in a small but very busy area easily reached from the M74 -

Reception staff very pleasant, helpful and attentive. Early check-in arranged over the phone the day before with no problems. Warned on arrival of potential boisterous football supporters staying, but heard nothing during the night. Would stay again. -

After i had booked our room,i received a phone call from Gary the receptionist,who enquierd if we were part of the Wedding party that they were haveing,when we said we were not,we were givein an upgrade & room on the front of the hotel,so as not to be inconvenienced by the party,which my wife & i thot was a fine example of a hotel looking after all of their guests,& a welcome drink was a nice touch,breakfast was exllent & the evening meal was quite superb.

Excellent breakfast, very good place for an overnight stay. - The Hotel is trendy, modern and located at a large retail area with cinema and restaurants right around the corner. The loaction is also 2 minutes from the M74 motorway - excellent choice for an overnight stop.

The extremely helpful and pleasant mannered reception staff. The room was very well designed, great size and comfort, plus very peaceful. The distance from Glasgow may put some off, (well worth the distance), and easy access to M74 Motorway, so only 20 minutes away from Glasgow. Much more scenic and tranquil than staying in city centre.

Everything, I could not believe that I could get such a great room for such a decent price. I stayed in the Harris suite and it was awsome, the only word to describe it.
Staff were friendly and helpful, room clean, bed comfy, breakfast good.
All together one of the best hotels within the area regardless of price range.
