The location of this hotel is perfect for relaxing or hiking, it is located right near the water with amazing views. The new owners were friendly and trying hard to make all the guests happy; this included 'a wee dram' of whisky on arrival and a bottle of sparkly when our table for dinner was not ready on time. Very approachable staff; fabulous environs, warm, clean and romantic buildings and gardens. Loved the sense of history; staying in Flora McDonald's house.

The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. They went the extra mile. The atmosphere was calm, organised, friendly, not stuffy, felt at home straight away. The bedroom was comfortable, clean and cosy.
Given our stay was out of season I was very pleased and would not hesitate to stay again. -

I liked this hotel, Highland standards can be poor compared with big town hotels, but this one is very good, excellant by highland standards. Situation on the main street is good, with good parking. Room was comfortable and clean with a good shower (unusual in the highlands) Staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was first class.

Maggie was a tremendous help to us in lining up alternate transportation
when our tour company cancelled our tour. She let us leave luggage at
the hotel while did a bus tour before catching the train back to
Inverness. I will happily stay here again!

I had asked for quiet rooms, and it was quiet and I slept well. The manager was very helpful to me with Directions etc. The meal was lovely and the prices reasonable. The location of the Hotel was perfect. We will hopefully go again next year. Reasonable rate for single occupancy. -
It does not look great on the photos but it's quite nice.
