Les services sportifs - Hotel was nice and clean, both public areas and the room. Room more spacious than most. Good leisure facilities. Enjoyable meals. - Lovely hotel with atmosphere and character. Children loved the pool and the outlook of our room was restful. Impressed with Barcelo chain and took brochure for further stays with the company.

Self catering apartments were good as usual- some improvements noticeable eg outdoor table and chairs for relaxing on the deck, door wedges provided. All the usual niceties too like plenty of tea and coffee, toiletries, water and fruit in the gym, towels provided in th pool area etc -

The hotel was offering discounted rooms, which I took advantage of. It's a Hilton and the service was everything I expected, including staff who addressed you by name. - Peace and quiet in great surroundings!!

We chose Thistle Cheltenham because a few weeks earlier we had stayed in The Atlantic Tower - Thistle in Liverpool and enjoyed our stay so much we looked for the Thistle name for our visit to Cheltenham. The room was lovely and we have visited the hotel several times over the past 10 years and always enjoy returning to the Thistle Cheltenham. Lovely hotel and the breakfast was very nice. La situation de l'hôtel - Breakfast was excellent and beautifully cooked. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was central with parking which was great for the shops. Also there was a small but comfortable bar with tv. - Everything. The staff were so helpful and they helped to make it extra special for my husbands surprise birthday.

Beautiful setting, very courteous staff, comfortable room. I didn't feel "awkward or out of place" as a lady traveller staying alone at the hotel (I used the hotel as a base whilst visiting family over the festive period) - We found it welcoming especially with nice fire in reception area. the room was very modern and comfortable with a top of the range bathroom with robes and slippers. Restaurant was top quality dining and guests at the hotel got 20% off food. Free use of spa facilities was excellent.
