The service was friendly and staff responded to our particular needs. The views spectacular. The facilitites comfortable, well maintained and the decor exquisite. Having the opportunity to choose a breakfast that is freshly cooked was wonderful. An extremely pleasant experience. The location over looking St Michaels mount and the proximity to town and public transport is also a bonus.

Genuinely the best guest house we've ever stayed in. Excellent location, easy walk to newquay centre, fistral beach or other beaches. Accommodation is modern, very clean and lacks nothing. Breakfast was to the standard of any five star hotel that we've stayed in. The owners are very pleasant and cannot do enough to please. Even our teens enjoyed it here, the modern living room has Wii and Xbox , its all just very well thought out. We will be booking again. The rooms with sea views are worth a s

the peace and quiet and fantastic view from the room, the delicious home-made granola and door-step granary toast for breakfast, nice little touches like current magazines, binoculars and beach games to borrow, the local knowledge, freshly baked cakes and friendly service provided by the proprietors

Excellent very tasty breakfast, very friendly and accommodating hosts with a vast local knowledge (James and Lisa). Spotlessly clean and tasteful, modern decor. Lovely garden to sit out in. Nice touches such as cold bottles of water, variety of drinks and biscuits available free of charge. Great value for money. Will certainly recommend to others and hope to stay there gain

Pleasant single room. Would have preferred ensuite but took the option with private separate bathroom as price appropriate.
The Pendennis was extremely clean,comfortable and the proprietors very friendly. They were full of local information and catered for every individual preference in terms of food and drink. Food was excellent. They looked at options to prevent waste and were very organised-list to mark for breakfast the next day.

Everything. Room was clean bright and comfortable. Fresh bottled water and fresh milk available daily. Nice bathroom products available, everything tastefully presented. Tea and homemade lemon drizzle cake offered on arrival- yum!!Delicious breakfast too. Excellent walking available from the house. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return.

Staff were lovely and made sure we were comfortable. The place has just been done up and everything is nice and new and modern. Even though we had checked out at 11am, the staff let us come back to shower after surfing. This made a massive difference to our day and travel home. The breakfast was also nice. There was free WiFi and it had a couple of pool tables which kept us entertained whilst enjoying a pint at the end of the long day surfing.

Everything - very friendly & welcoming hosts. Clean, large comfortable room and en suite, with large walk in shower. Bottled water & hot drink sachets + biscuits provided. Fantastic breakfast. Home made yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, toast & choice of cooked breakfast (inc fresh fish) every day. We were offered and advised on the local places of interest, which was very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay and would not hesitate to recommend Helstone House to others.

glen the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. the breakfast was excellent from a full English with cereal and toast to any combination, nothing was too much trouble.
our room was a small double with an en-suite, it was adequate for our needs. Glen changed the towels and cleaned our room daily.

Cindy and Ashley were so genuinely welcoming and friendly. The room was uniquely decorated, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was superb. We were given great advice on the locality and where to eat etc. Cindy's ducks are well loved and cared for. We departed with a very favourable impression of Newquay.

After arriving by train, we spent 1 night at Carnson House before taking the Scillonian next morning. We were in room 6, on the ground floor, opposite the breakfast room.
