Cantley House is a gorgeous building with bags of character and (when I stayed) blissfully quiet. There is an ongoing refurb programme, with completed areas finished to a high standard; the owners' love for the building is apparent.
Staff were efficient, friendly and approachable and the room well stocked with fluffy towels, robes, and the usual tea/coffee iron etc.

I contacted the hotel before my stay to advise of an early check in and this was noted and accepted when we arrived. Hotel was located by the river and the views were lovely. The location was lovely. Beautiful grounds. We really liked the bedrooms being in a separate area and having our own front door to enter our bedroom- very nice outlook from our front window -overlooking a green field and lake.- so no corridor noise like a usual hotel. Excellent bedrooms with en suite. We would certainly recommend Donnington Grove

The stay was fabulous. Chai was incredible. He ran around and answered to all our family orientated needs.
The hotel was busy, but not loud in the slightest - a feat considering there were back to back weddings, golfing guests and lots of young families.
Breakfast was great. Good value too.
Would definitely stay again.

For a small hotel, it provided all I required for an overnight stay while attending a private function elsewhere. The room and facilities were really good, modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate for the very keen on-line price. Overnight car parking charge of £5 was agreeable in the light of other some hotel's rip-off prices!

I stayed on the nights of the 19th and 20th April 2013. On arrival, the check in was easy with a pleasant and informative young receptionist. Because I was unable to get WiFi in the room allocated to me she moved me instantly. The bar was fine with a good selection of beers and welcoming staff. The food is excellent with probably the best pub fish and chips meal I have tasted in a long time. Breakfast was first class nothing to much trouble for the staff! Overall, this is probably the best Hote

The breakfast was very good,and in fact better than the one I had later in a London hotel.I chose hotel for its quality/value and the close proximity to railstation for day trips.
