  Value for money. Large spacious comfortable ensuite room (bed very comfy had a good night sleep) over looking main road (no noise). Staff very attentive. B/fast - plentiful and variety for everyone. Beamed bar/restaurant very cosy with roaring fire. Book early for restaurant as quite busy but don't fret as there's a pizzaria and snack/supper loung... ce que les gens disent » e. If you like history there's plenty of photos and memorabilia displayed all around the hotel. Will definately visit again. - Staff were brilliant. Helpful friendly, loaned us an umbrella, brought drinks up to the lounge. Allowed us to use the lounge after check out. Took care of our luggage until 1500 hrs Bathroom excellent and well supplied with shower gel etc - me and my wife had a one night stay and it was wonderful. very friendly excellent food and the room was really clean and well presented oh and the room was very big. ideal location just a two minute walk to the cinema and shops all around

  Everything! The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was huge - more of a suite really - and was very comfortable. The pub itself was cosy and welcoming and it was nice to have the choice of eating in the restaurant or in the bar.We stayed 3 nights and ate at the hotel every evening - the food was very good and local produce was used. We would definitely stay there again. - This was a really well run and looked after inn. The very friendly and helpful staff made the stay enjoyable. This is well worth considering as a base from which to visit the surrounding area or as a stop off on your journey. It is close to the Granite way cycle trail and would be a good staging point on the Devon Coast to Coast
