Victoria Warehouse Hotel - Photos
Ce que les gens disent
Fascinating transformation of an old warehouse into a hotel without spoiling the integrity and exterior of the building. The temperature of the room remained pleasant despite the fact that it isn't possible to open the window. I guess the walls must be thick. Old iron shutters (rust and all!) kept out the bright sunshine during the day. Don't let rusty iron shutters put you off, the room is bright and pleasant. Very quiet location away from the madness of Saturday night in Manchester city . tous commentaires »
This is a very different sort of hotel. Its a former warehouse and so my room had no windows, which was slightly strange. This sad the bed was comfortable, the room very clean and nicely furnished. Where the hotel scores really high is in the communal areas. a very nice breakfast room, with an excellent home cooked breakfast, great bar and lots of airy space inside and out. There is an art house cinema, and a yoga center, both available to guests.
Its really near Old Trafford and the Lowry ce.
On my arrival I instantly made to feel very welcome. Helen on the desk was very friendly. As I had arrived early for check-in the room was not ready but Helen was very good in making it possible for the room to become available for me as soon as possible for which I was very grateful as I was quite tired from my journey. While I waited Helen and I had a delightful chat. The staff I met over the two days I stayed were all very kind and friendly which would make me happily stay again. Well d.
the staff were brilliant, the lebaray section was fabulous, the quotes on the walls, the quirkiness of the whole place, the cleanliness, excellent facilities in the rooms for the price. The breakfast was excellent. the coffee was very good indeed and unlimited and included in the price. the wooden tables in the breakfast room and \I also spotted a cinema although it was not showing that night. Also had a TV with all the free view channels .The light was a touch tone Well done!.
The location on the Quays was perfect for our visit. The room was
cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels each day. The staff are first
class more 5 star than budget. And finally the price, the weekend cost
less than a single night in any hotels nearby, the Warehouse does not
double its prices when Man Utd are playing at home, unlike other hotels
on the Quays.
Staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful, good selection and quality of breakfast buffet, the small cinema (but sadly we didn't have time to use it), bar/lounge area was really nice - in fact the whole building was interesting and well restored and am looking forward to using the gym next time we visit.
- Very good, friendly and helpfull staff
- Great experience to live for few days in old factory/warehouse well arranged as hotel
- Only 5 minutes walk from Old Trafford Stadium
- 10 minutes walk from restaurants (good Mexican restaurant, KFC or Subway + few more which we weren`t able to visit in just 3 days).
2 of us stayed here for the Warehouse Project which is literally next door - upon arrival we were given a wristband which meant that we were able to queue jump - massive bonus!
The queue jump, hotel interior, free wi-fi and breakfast outweigh the negative points of this hotel.
I liked the quirkyness of the design and although lacking much daylight
did fit in with the building's warehouse history. Staff were very
helpful regarding directions and travel options to my venue and printed
off google directions. The cooked breakfast was also great.
This is an unusual hotel, based as it is in a converted warehouse near Salford Quays. Good shower facilities and clean sheets. Unusual curtains being old steel doors!. Staff were friendly. Ample parking without the exorbitant charges other hotels get away with.
I took part in Greater Manchester Marathon. For me it was very important to choose a hotel close to the start and the finish lines. They were located next to Man Utd stadium. The hotel was only 5 minutes from there. It was my big day. I did my new PB.
Good price for decent bed, clean shower and very nice breakfast (fairtrade tea & coffee). Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet by Manchester hotel standards. Free wifi downstairs, nice large bar area with power sockets if you need to work.
Affordable price tor lone fotball fan,5min walk to Old Trafford Football ground,5min walk to tram stop for city centre, great breakfast in an unusual setting(its a yoga centre)small room with no window (as advised) but lovely shower-.
I really like the location as i went to watch Man United playing,so the hotel is literally in the next corner only 5 minutes away. Also close to the airport, only 20 minutes by taxi.I can highly recommend for United fans from abroad :).
The design of the hotel was very industrial but with added luxury! the location was great and the staff were really friendly! Free parking was a bonus and the breakfast was great! im looking at booking my next visit very soon!.
Interesting concept, looks like a run down warehouse on the outside, but is interestingly refurbished inside. Good breakfast and good night's sleep. Well located for Old Trafford with free parking.
So close to old trafford. Awesome design and michelle was fantastic helped us get their at 2am in the morn as we got lost and was just really friendly and helpful. Very cool hotel.
The hotel was very unique and had some very interesting features to it.
I loved the location of the hotel as I stayed there to watch the
football at Old Trafford. 'Champions' #20.
close to football ground and media city, limited cooked breakfast included, quirky design, converted warehouse which is listed so they are unable to change outside structure.

Interestingly beautiful place to stay, with excellent food and chilled vibe. Simple room, spotlessly cleam.

Friendly staff.
Fantastic design, great ambience, friendly staff, good breakfast, the library!.
The design, the prices, the breakfast included, the location and the staff.
the hotel was great very inspiring design. the qoutes in the sitting room.
Small things really. Decided to pay for upgrade to superior double room for window but was disappointed the window would not open, however the room remained cool even during the heat wave. The bed was very squeaky. Didn't realise they lock the door at 12.30am. No indication you need to knock for entry after that time. Fortunately receptionist heard me trying to get in.
I seriously have no complaints !.
The window at the top of my door in my otherwise otherwise windowless room let the light in from the corridor which kept me awake all night and felt a bit like being tortured in some sort of prison. the bed was very creaky when you turned over .
Lack of windows in the budget room, quirky and fun though, but cannot be
beaten on price, for the location.
Only 2 small things: 1. only one pillow each in the room (no spares in on shelves) appreciate staff would have brought more but was too tired to go down to the desk 2. The light in the corridor shines through the glass panel above the entrance door all night which was a bit annoying.
- First impression - it doesn`t look great from outside ... but all
together with inside gives you great experience.
- No windows in most of rooms (except delux), but it makes sense when you look from outside and think about that as former factory.
No windows - but we were aware of that before our stay.
Twin bunk room - very small for two people to get ready in, could do with more shelves/mirrors where there is space.
Asked if we had any alcohol on us when we arrived at the hotel and told that we could only drink alcohol from the bar - seemed unecessary.
A bit too dark, especially in the rooms with there being no window
except in the deluxe rooms. If your budget wont stretch to the extra ask
for the brightest room available as I did and you may at least get a
room close to a corridor window meaning daylight makes it in to the room
thru the glass above the room door.
Could do with better sign posting as you come off the roundabout near the hotel. Drove past it and turned around to see it. The cooked breakfast was OK but nothing to write home about considering the bread, cereals and drinks were top quality.
Only one thing. There wasn't any window in my room.
Door slams during the night kept me awake - why can't hotels make doors that don't slam?! Main doors to the hotel are incredibly heavy and up some steps - no fun if you have lots of luggage, dread to think what it'd be like if you had mobility problems. And no lift inside, either.
cant fault it-excellent value.
I was put in a room downstairs (I felt it was an afterthought because I was late checking in) - there was no mirror in the bathroom making it v difficult to shave - Free Wifi didn't work in my room - weak signal. I think the upstairs rooms in the pictures may be more suitable for business travel.
The no windows as it was super hot.
The bed was not the best but the rest of the room was great.
steps upto reception also no lift
(1 customer was disabled) most bedrooms have no windows
poor continental breakfast.
No draught beer Receptionist as late night barmaid...she wasn't
comfortable/knowledgeable behind bar Wine choice not great.
Nothing.
a little warm so just sleep naked,.
nothing.
Wish it wasn't fully booked for the 30th Nov.
Please provide windows were we can view outside and were sometimes early morning rays of sun can be enjoyed.
One thing! No window In the bedroom, bricked up! But a great experience!.
The room had no air con and the window didn't open so very uncomfortable in the hot weather.
No Window (its Ok coz I only stayed for a night and the room was air conditioned)
Felt like a jail converted into hotel though it was a warehouse, I suppose they attempted a quirky style.
Metal stairs made a bit of noise when you're trying to sleep.
Very Basic, needs jazzing up a bit.
Nothing.
No window in the bedroom Very noisy doors when closing Squeaky bed Very
short lead on kettle.
Nothing.
Initially I didnt like the lack of a window but soon forgot about it .tT.
smell in the bathroom of sewer / off water / no vents in the bathroom.
noise coming from the outside of the room when people walking and slamming doors also we can hear people talking in the rooms
the bbc channels and most tv channels didn'T work
lights above the door outside of the room.
didn'T have evening meals.
Bigger rooms! More choice to stay in rooms larger than just 2. A little claustrophobic for some of my friends.
no draught beer and bottles of beer at £4.50
budget room was definately budget, window would be nice.
No window in room
Staff couldn't find an iron.
No lift but only one floor.
no windows in the room, feels clostophobic.
