  We booked into our standard room,which was well above standard. All was good until we found that the bathroom sink was blocked. The staff arranged for maintenance to come to the room. They were unable to fix the problem straight away, therefore the manager arrived and moved us immediately to a superior room with complimentary drinks. Will definitely stay again. - Absolutely loved this hotel! I booked the Malmaison mainly for the fact that it is a converted jail and that it was in a Lewis episode. It was a bit of a splurge & worth every penny! The bar was fantastic & both bartenders that we encountered were quite lovely! We were treated really well by both gentlemen. By far one of the best experiences I've had in a hotel in the uk. I would love to come back & spend more time.

  LOVE THIS HOTEL! Very new, clean, and well appointed. I HIGHLY recommend suite 12--great views, wonderful kitchenette, plus helpful instructions on use of TV and Wifi access. Breakfast basket of muffins, cereal, breakfast bars, tea/coffee etc topped up daily. Very close to city centre (10-15 minute walk) and train station (15-20 minute walk). Friendly staff. Room had a feeling of privacy.
