  Definitely best choice for Edinburgh. Have stayed at Balmoral 3 times already, and every time was an exceptionally pleasant experience. Love the superb location, warm and welcoming atmosphere, excellently polite and helpful staff, relaxing SPA area.   This hotel is like my view of an old hotel should be steeped in history and splendour. It was a pleasure the rooms are not modern although they do have the touches like the plasma tv and modern bathroom. Overall I would not change anything about the hotel it was perfect.   I'm on gluten free diet - had no problems whatsoever. The chef even amended the Valentine's Day menu in the Grill Room. All the staff were exceptionally helpful. The rooftop hyropool was wonderful. - The upgrade to our room was very comfortable and appreciated. The staff were all very helpfull and friendly.

  very spacious, lovely and clean, perfect for our needs, easy walking distance to town, able to keep parking permit for a few hours exra after check out. - Spacious, 2 room apartment plenty of space for family of 5 . Was a 10-15 minute walk to the Royal mile. Close to supermarket and food stores.
