The Elgano exceeded all expectations.
My stay was on a weekend when the Welsh rugby team were playing so it was a busy weekend in the City centre.
I arrived at 7.30pm on Saturday and even though I arrived at what seemed a busy time in their restaurant/bar I was greeted with a hello by smiling and courteous members of staff and checked in promptly.

I really loved this hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly,
rooms were clean and cosy. Breakfast was rich - in comparison to what I
was used to in London. A good choice from cereals, toasts with jam and
English breakfast. The hotel is located 15 minutes walk from the
university and from the city center, so you can walk everywhere (except
for Cardiff Bay, that's a bit further away but there's regular

The staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms were modest, but a great value for money and also very clean. The hotel is on a good location close to the city center, but still very peaceful and safe. Breakfast was excellent as well, fresh bread, yoghurts, fruit every morning. I would definitely come back to stay at the Beverley, especially if I come back with friends or family.

Very friendly, lovely seating decked area out front for relaxing in the evening, if you smoke it's ideal.
Unlike many hotels I've stayed in the WiFi was unlimited which meant I could browse and catch up easily and it was a decent speed too. Top marks for this!

The Owner was warm and welcoming. Noticing my use of a walking stick, she offered us the choice of 2 rooms, as she was concerned for my comfort. I have never had this consideration before!! The room was clean, warm and comfortable, and we were shown how to work the tv and digital box. All facilities were clean and working. A key was given and we were able to come and go as we pleased.
