  The welcome was great and the receptionist was very helpful, giving us a map, showing directions and telling us about 'extras', such as the Christmas market. We also liked the fact that TGI Fridays was attached(!) even though we didn't realise we could go straight through from the hotel! Good-sized towels. The fact that there wasn't a television! Great choice of different fruits/fruit prep for breakfast. Easy parking.

  The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was off the main street, so it was fairly quiet and peaceful - even on the rowdy Friday and Saturday nights. It was ideally placed for Headingley cricket and rugby grounds. - Attentiveness of staff. Quality of furnishings and decor. Excellent food and service.
