I was a little put off by the 2star rating on letsbookhotel.com for the accommodation as with business, we use the Premier Inn as a basis for comparison which are typically 3 star. There is no way this hotel is a 2 star, it is definitely on par if not better than Premier Inn standard.
When you arrive, we were warmly greeted at reception and following payment shown to our rooms placed within a courtyard. The rooms I found to be way above what I expected, very spacious, comfy bed, extra pillows . tous commentaires »
I arrived late Sunday (plenty of free parking available) to a friendly welcome and asked for an iron and ironing board which was instantly produced. Good service.
Nice spacious bathroom and very comfortable bed. The free wifi was a big plus and enabled me to send an important email before sleeping.
Excellent cooked breakfast. No problems with checking in or out and nice friendly farewell.
Sorry that business meant I could not stay any longer but hope to be back next time for leisure purposes.
We loved it! You have to stay there! The meals were exceptionally good value with large portions. The staff were extremely accommodating. The rooms were large and spacious.
We chose to stay outside of Oxford. A Five minute drive took us to the 'park and ride' where we could park for the entire day. A short bus right into the city centre and tourist attractions.
You will find everything you need at Sturdy's Castle.
I loved that the location of the bedrooms were seperate from the hotel bar and main building, I loved that everything was provided for in my room, ironing board, hair dryer, television and table to work from. The restaurant was good very good and really welcoming and relaxing for the single female alone of business!.
Good, clean, roomy accommodation (Motel style) associated with the main building which includes a good Restaurant serving excellent quality food. Breakfast menu was very good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
Very pleasant staff, modern, spacious room, very good breakfast and
dinner in restaurant. Ample parking and convenient for Oxford and much
cheaper than city hotels. (Oxford Park & Ride at Eaton Water is
excellent.).
Room was a good size and it was nice and quiet so restful. Breakfast was not only very good but also served at a reasonable time at the weekend when a too early start isn't required (though facility available.
Welcoming staff. Good sized bedrooms. nice restaurant and bar.
Room located at the rear of the pub so quiet. Ample parking. located on main route and near M40. Food ok.
The very friendly atmosphere and the rather unusual layout of the hotel and its motel style accommodation. The owner was very helpful and addressed any concerns we had.
We used this hotel as a base for the surrounding countryside and to visit Oxford. It was an excellent choice to suit our purpose. Room was large and comfortable.
the staff were very helpful and tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible.
the food was excellent from the evening meal to the freshly cooked breakfast.
the room, the experience, the staff, the restaurant, the breakfast, the quiet, the bar, the ease of getting there, the car parking. everything about the stay.
Lovely warm pub with separate apartments that are spacious & v.comfortable.Great breakfast & 2 4 1 evening meals.Wish I could of stayed longer.
Ground floor room in building separated from the main bar/restaurant area so was very quiet. Generous parking area. Good value evening meal (2for1).
large room with comfortable seating area
Varied menu at reasonable prices allowed to be able to relax at the hotel in the evening
Friendly staff.
Staff were nice and service very good. food good and hot (maes a change compared to some hotels) Breakfast superb. Felt welcomed and valued.
the standard of rooms, having choice of restaurant or bar.We had to leave early 7.00 so they provided light breakfast to room night before.
Informality. Quality of food at very reasonable prices.
Rooms positioned away from main activity of hotel, therefore quiet.
Friendly welcome and staff helpful. Very large and clean comfortable bedroom. Breakfast included in price and tasty.
Check in wasn't until 3.30 but they made sure a room was available earlier as we needed an early check in.
excellent restaurant both for evening meal and breakfast, large comfortable room, very friendly welcome.
Proximity to Blenheim is excellent, restaurant was very good, nice

Help full staff. Hotel was clean. The staff we came into contact with were friendly. Although we didn't have an evening meal the menu looked good. The breakfast menu had a great selection. Our room was comfortable & the bed was comfy. I would definitely return here.
nothing really all to my liking!.
No negative comments.
Drove past it on arrival at night, as no lit name sign. Well out of
Kidlington, rather isolated, though on main road and bus stop
outside. Some details on new accommodation still being worked on,
room a bit stark.
Nothing except I wish that checkout at hotels generally was more like Holiday Inn (12.00) rather than 10.30 - though not 10.00 like far topo many!!.
Rural location, so car essential as some distance from any shops and entertainment, probably why I managed to get a room at the last minute.Very small TV in room for a modern hotel.
Having to go outside to access the room and this being up two flights of stairs to first floor.
Breakfast was ok, but a buffet offering cereals, fruit and pastries would be better than ordering such items from a menu.
didnt have Sky Sports which meant that I didnt stay in the Bar after my meal.
Breakfast was a strange arrangement. Usually cereal, fruit, yogurts etc are on display to help yourself. Waitress very busy and so we had to repeat our request for some items.
Not having option of cooked breakfast before 8.00 however they did come up with a solution which was great.
Nothing.
Menu in restaurant sounded nice but the £12.00-odd choices didn't taste so good - too much mashed potato with everything. Scope to reduce choice on menu and improve quality (please).
wifi reception was intermittent.
The duty manager was a little grumpy.
All was good!.
There wasn't anything I didn't like!.
Nothing.
Not really walking distance to anywhere else!.
nothing.
The fire alarm went off at 6.20am.
Curtains could have done with being a bit thicker to block out the early morning sun.
Nothing.
Nothing.

paper tissues box.
Nothing.
No phone, but to be honest you don't need one with mobiles around.
