We received the warmest of welcomes, room was beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished, very clean and exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast menu was one of the best we have ever had, all good! Although a fairly steep hill into the town on the way back we did it in a leisurely stroll and hardly noticed it. Would definitely recommend and if we return to Kendal Beech House would be my accommodation choice.

We booked this online for a midweek short break and as a fusy person I am particular where I stay but this place was a little gem and we thoroughly enjoyed the place and owners. They were polite , friendly and knowledgable about anything you needed to know about traveling in the area and lake district.The breakfast was tasty and very enjoyable. wo

we spent three gloriousl nights , we had the best room in the house patio doors looking over green fields and water . Breakfast excellent ,cant fault it .The only advice i can offer guests is: when paul tells you about a twenty minute walk make sure you get the right directions otherwise it could take an hour and a half.Eddie

the owner was extremely friendly and helpful. the rooms were very clean and comfortable and nicer than big hotels i've stayed in. little touches such as toiletries being provided were a bonus and the breakfast was delicious. It was quite easy to park and only 5 minutes walk into town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

The host Yvonne was very friendly and gave us the royal treatment! Good for local shopping with a retail outlet opposite (just over the river) and Kendal town centre a short walk away. The Hillside B&B is first class. The proprietors are very friendly and make your stay a pleasurable experience. The room I stayed in was spotlessly clean and I'm sure all the rooms will be a similar standard . As the name suggests the property is on a hillside. What was there not to like?
Lovely friendly staff nothing too much trouble . As I have a food intolerance they provided special bread at breakfast for me . Room lovely overlooking mountains . Comfortable bed . Bags of hot water . Lovely breakfast . Very clean and well worth a stay . Well located for the town which was lovely . Would definitely stay a gain !

The apartments were newly refurbished and done very nicely. A nice touch was that fresh milk, tea, coffee, sugar and things like tea towels and dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid were provided. The pub adjoining the apartments does good food at reasonable prices. -

The staff were exceptional in every manner. Each one we spoke to were very polite and accomodating, especially when booking out as we were leaving at 6am the next morning and they prepared a fantastic breakfast which was delivered 30mins before we departed at 5:30am.
