Blackthorn Farm serves cooked breakfasts using local produce and continental breakfasts can be provided for early check-outs. Packed lunches are available, as is a dinner menu on Fridays. There is also an on-site farm shops selling groceries and snacks. Set in 18-acre headlands, Blackthorn Farm offers bicycle rental and has a great location for walking, fishing, bird watching and sailing. The town centre and Ferry Terminal are 5 minutes’ drive away and Holyhead Train Station is 2 miles away.

We rented the 2 bedroom cottage and thoroughly enjoyed the room to stretch out..very relaxing. The kitchenette was well equipped, the bedrooms comfortable and the amenities exactly as promised. The supplies of wine, beer, drinks and snacks were thoroughly appreciated after a long day of travel from Scotland. Breakfast was amazing - delicious and huge...come hungry! We enjoyed the stunning scenery and the peace and quiet that Blackthorn Farm afforded us. We would love to return!.
tous commentaires » The staff was extremely hospitable. They provided is with two pack and plays for our children. They only had one high chair, but they were willing to borrow a second one for us, which we wound up not needing. they were also willing to keep the kitchen open for us if we wanted dinner when we arrived. the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and newly renovated. we would definitely choose to stay here again whether for a longer trip or for just an overnight to catch the ferry. On arrival we had a really warm welcome from Richard who showed my family and my parents to our rooms which were stylish and comfortable . Because we were the only guests Richard allowed my parents to choose their room which was very kind considering it allowed them to upgrade to an ensuite room . The location was beautiful and perfect to meet our needs for the weekend. The Staff at breakfast were really helpful and friendly . Hope to be back again one day soon!. Richard and his brother were fantastic hosts, going above and beyond what is 'normal'. Great advice on local attractions and lovely breakfasts (the chef has also cooked for the Queen!). Our room was wonderful - beautiful view, stylish furnishings and little extras that you don't normally find (quality shower gel, Italian coffee bags, cookies, wonderful hot choc sachets for the kids!). All in all a fabulous place to stay, wish we could've stayed a week :-). I thought Blackthorn Farm was just amazing - the welcome was second to none - the staff just could not do enough to make our stay a really happy and comfortable one- the facilities were wonderful and cousine wonderful . My dog was welcome and could go everywhere with me even the dining room but as he had travelled a long way he was fast asleep in our room. I just cannot say enough to praise Bkacjthirn Farm and I will definitely go back for a longer stay. Stayed in a family room and facilities were perfect. Beds very comfy and we all slept really well. Breakfast was really delicious. Very convenient for the ferry terminal. Beautiful location. Richard and the other staff we met were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Will definitely be back on our way through Holyhead and will see if we can make it a bit longer to explore the area a bit more. Thanks again. This B&B is really excellent - spotlessly clean, very comfortable, with lots of little extra touches. Choice of breakfast food and time. Great as an overnight ferry stay even if you don't have a car like us - a short taxi ride from Holyhead. Definitely want to return for another stay here!. Loooooved the Blackthorn. Stayed in a fantastic "family room" (myself in the single bed and my brother & his girlfriend in the queen) and we just loved the room. It was so nice and such a fantastic location (5 minute drive to the Stacks, where you park to walk the cliffs -- soooo beautiful). The host, Richard, was such a fantastic and hospitable host. Highly recommend if you're in Wales, we loved it here. The welcome was first class, very friendly, very informative about locality and where to get something nice to eat in the evening. Facility to order a take away with all crockery and cutlery provided so you can have your meal at the accomodation.The breakfast next morning was first class as were the girls on duty on the morning we stayed. Would definetly stay again. Very accommodating staff. We arrived very late after completing a four day cycle from Cardiff. The owner arranged for the keys to be picked up. The room was very clean and well decorated. Although we did not have enough time for a cooked breakfast every effort was made to provide us with cereals, fruit and juices and even warm cob to take away!. Everything was beyond what B&Bs usually have to offer - for example you have an impressive DVD collection at your disposal and several, thick guides of the area. You can see that running this B&B is a passion for the owner who is really ready to take extra steps to make you feel comfortable. Also, price-wise it was very reasonable. Very niProvidedce staff, the help was exceptional, loved the area and coastline.I Left some important documents in room and a lady brought to the train station just as I was about to board a train. Provided an evening meal also. The farm is a ten minute drive out from ferry terminal. This is simply a fantastic hotel which I shall be returning to with my family. Room excellent food fresh, delicious and pentyful. Saff friendly and extremely welcoming. As a business the super fast broadband really was a bonus. I can not recommend this hotel high enough. To be honest, we arrived very late and did not get a chance to enjoy the B&B like we would have liked to. The staff was great and very curteous / friendly. We appreciated the opportunity to stay and the ease of location to atching the Ferry the next morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Richard was really friendly and ensured that our experience was the best possible. The room was comfortable and had a great view, and my friends really enjoyed trekking about the coastline. Everything was lovely the room was modern comfortable and clean had a great home cooked roast dinner Saturday night we felt very welcome great escape from the city & the fireworks would love to return again maybe in the summer next time. The heating and the refrigerator were a little loud, but did not detract from the overall experience. The fried eggs at breakfast were a little too oily for our tastes and the baked beans a bit pasty , that is all :). The small stairs to our room but we managed - it would not put me off going back in any way. Nothing. The bed was a little too short if you were more than 6' tall. No complaints, a little more space in the room would be desirable. Everything was satisfactory, we would stay there again as long as the price was right. I had no dislikes, loved it all. noise early in morning from room next door- but understandable in A B&B. Nothing? we liked all aspects of the hotel and staff. There was nothing we disliked. We have no negative responses to this question. It was a very hot summer and our room was roasting hot. only had a small desk fan to circulate air. Need to update commentary on local places to eat as I thought it was probably a bit dated. One on desk in hall means it can be updated and so no need for shorter printed one in 'folder' in room. This may seem a little odd, but I thought the heating in the room was a little overbearing and I wasn't keen on the fragrance diffuser in the plug socket which I found overpowering. Neither of these detracted from my overall enjoyment. Nothing. Nothing, all good! L. nothing . Our top floor room wasn't the easiest to access for an elderly couple. Lacked some outdoor play facilities on site. having to leave. There was a generator or pump of some sorts outside the main bedroom which was a bit obvious at night. Thought it was a little expensive for October, but so was everywhere else. Nothing to dislike. I can't think of anything, and I can be pickie!. It is a shame that the facilities in Trearddur Bay are a little far to walk to, but it certainly would not stop me visiting or recommending Blackthorn Farm. Barbados room a little small.
