The Cavendish B&B - Photos
Ce que les gens disent
Fantastic location, a few steps from centre of town, overlooking fabulous, fragrant Valley Gardens. We had a top floor room overlooking the trees and it was peaceful and relaxing, very clean and comfortable, recently redecorated and with outstanding quality of linen. The dining room was lovely and the breakfast plentiful and fresh. The owners were very friendly and totally helpful about the parking. A lovely visit to a very interesting and very green city. To be recommended. tous commentaires »
We found the owner of the B and B very friendly and helpful and very aware of the needs of elderly people. The breakfast was very good and it was helpful to be presented with tickets which allowed us to park free in front of the B and
B. It was also very useful to have so many good restaurants within easy reach. We also appreciated the way it was arranged that we should have help over transporting our luggage to our room.
The Cavendish is the friendliest, cleanest and best run accommodation we have had in several visits to Harrogate. The standards of bedding, carpeting & bathroom facilities are excellent and allow for a lovely quiet sleep. The real treat of course is the wonderful freshly cooked breakfast served in the spacious breakfast room.Full marks and thanks to the friendly ladies who run The Cavendish. We'll certainly be back!.
The location is excellent for a stay in Harrogate, the room was spacious and the 4 poster very comfortable. Everything was clean and the breakfast was superb. The lady who ran the Cavendish was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in helping with local restaurants and amenities. Parking right in front of the hotel was very convenient too.
Everything! This place is just what you hope you are going to get when you book a top British B&B. We got a friendly welcome, the room was clean and spacious with a lovely comfy bed that had top quality bedding. Breakfast was spot on too. Great location. We loved it and will book here again if we get the chance to go back to Harrogate.
This is an excellent B&B close to the town centre and overlooking Valley Gardens which are lovely to walk around. The room had been newly decorated, new bathroom, clean and overlooked the park. The breakfast was excellent and the owner was very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B.
The single room had a double bed.
There was plenty of decent tea and coffee in the room.
The layout was good.
The breakfast was well presented and delicious.
The town centre was a 5 minute walk but the view from the B&B was countryside, a great combination.
The owner was professional and friendly.
Very friendly excellent food spotlessly clean and would not hesitate to stay there again. The only thing I would have changed was the colour of the walls and ceiling in our room it was a very cold blue but that was my personal taste.Overall though we very very happy with our stay at the Cavendish.
fabulous location walking distance to town. It was very clean and tidy great breakfast cooked to order. Excellent service and warm and comfortable. The breakfast room was very nicely decorated with lovely fixtures and fittings. Very tasteful. Very helpful and friendly staff eager to please.
The Cavendish was very close to where I wanted to be in Harrogate. I was made very welcome and was very comfortable. My room was large and airy with a view over the park. Facilities are excellent and staff are very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
The hospitality was superb. The rooms were nicely furnished and very clean. Breakfasts were brilliant with a good choice. Location is very good as only a short walk to town and park and pathway to stunning views. Excellent pubs nearby and bettys tea room.
The friendliness of the owner, the cleanliness of the room, a very good breakfast. The Cavendish is ideally situated for the shops and for the Valley Gardens and is an easy walk to and from the train station. It was good value for money.
The owners were delightful & went ou of their way to accommodate any requests. The Cavendish represents excellent value for money & we will definitely return next year. Harrogate is a shopper's & foodie's paradise!.
Lovely, clean and welcoming owner. This was a perfect place to stay for me whilst attending a conference nearby. I would love to return but for pleasure next time. The owner was really friendly and the breakfast was super!.
Staff were welcoming and friendly. Bedroom size was adequate, well-equipped and comfy. Bathroom was a good = plenty of space, water was hot and everyting worked well. Breakfast was very good. I would stay here again.
Everything was as you expect. Really good area for what we wanted to do. Even got parking free over night, which we thought we may have a small charge as there was no parking in the grounds of the Cavendish B&B.
all the staff were very nice and could not do enough for you, the room was very nice, the bed was great best nights sleep i have had for ages.Breakfast is supper will stay again and rercomend it to others.
I liked the variety of breakfast. Location was excellent and parking good especially with being issued a disc for the time we were there. Great for being able to go about Harrogate. Would recommend.
Lovely warm and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast in a beautiful dining room. Extreemly comfortable beds. Location excellent for shops and restaurants, Valley Gardens and RHS Harlow Carr.
Fabulous fresh-cooked breakfast, served by friendly staff. The Cavendish is so close to the centre of Harrogate and the Conference Centre, but is also opposite the wonderful Valley Gardens.
Excellent place close to town free parking front of house.Clean, super breakfast, lovely room and a charming hostess. nothing too much for her. highly recommended. would go again tomorrow.
Another great stay, my fifth. Always a warm welcome, comfortable bed, good quality bedding and towels, a delicious breakfast and a nice easy walk into town to visit lots of restaurants.
Friendly staff; good breakfast; quiet location but near central attractions of Harrogate. Staff helped by providing disc for parking in an area that might otherwise have been difficult.
The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. A well maintained and decorated property.Incredibly convenient for exploring Harrogate.
The ladies who run it were lovely! The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Location of the hotel great opposite the park. Parking on the road could be tricky, but we were lucky.

A lovely b and b with an ideal location. Friendly staff, great breakfast. Good value for money all round. A really enjoyable stay. We'll definately visit again.
large bedroom overlooking Valley Gardens. Bronte biscuits and tea making facilities in room. Free parking permit for entire stay. Excellent breakfasts.
Location, only 3 minutes to Betty's tea rooms and city centre.
Brenda & cecelia are warm friendly hosts.
Exceptionally clean.
Fabulous breakfast.
Friendly staff made me feel at home. It was useful having a parking permit. Near to conference centre and other amenities. Would definitely return.
Brenda, the owner, was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. The "full English" breakfast was superb! Parking permit system was excellent.

Excellent place to stay ideal for seeing Harrogate centre. Clean B&B with lovely staff who can't do enough for you. Made to feel very welcome.
Lovely hotel close to the shops and Christmas market which was the reason we visited Harrogate. Good value for money and excellent breakfast.
Very welcoming and friendly. The location was superb - easy reach of town centre and attractions. Excellent breakfast in a lovely dining room.
Smiling, friendly greeting, clean room with all I needed and great breakfast! Superb central location, alongside Valley Gardens - quiet too!.

Clean comfortable room, excellent breakfast, convenient parking.
Great location close to Harrogate town centre but in quiet area.
the breakfast was lovely with a choice of good quality produce - the waitress would 'mix and match' the food you required.
It was a freindly clan ad exelently placed bed anbreackfast with the breakfast being one of the best iv had inany hotel.
Excellent décor. Friendly staff. Well cooked breakfast with lots of choice. Great location for short walk into town.
Excellent location. Very friendly helpful staff.Super choice at breakfast.
Very close to centre and Valley Gardens.
Friendly, welcoming hosts. Great breakfast and central to Harrogate. Easy walking distance of Harlow Carr nursery.
Good location, across from park and short walk to most places. Good food, quiet and very clean. Friendly staff.
Great location one of the cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in great
home cooked breakfast friendly owner.
Nice central location, friendly informative staff, good size clean bedroom:
Breakfast was excellent...
Great location.
Great price in comparison to other providers.
Very clean.
Does what it says on the tin.
No negatives for us!.
I hesitate to criticise but the front garden could do with a tidy up and possibly new windows/sandblasting. This would make a huge different to one's first impression on arrival. Other buildings higher up the road have done this with amazing results - though I do appreciate this is an expensive exercise!.
I stayed two nights and found no fault.
The cold blue decor in our room.
Quite a compact twin room!!
I think they could do with a little background music in the breakfast room.
Thought Betty's tea room was vastly over-rated & expensive for the quality of food! However the queue just got longer so obviously in the minority!.
thye bathroom and shower were a bit on the tight side.
I didn't like the warmth in the evenings. It was a little cool in the bedroom and could of been a little warmer. Downstairs was very warm. Bedroom was warm on arrival.
The rooms were a little on the small side, but this wouldn't put me off staying again.
Breakfast was very slow, which was difficult as we were all trying to get to the Conference Centre.
No dislikes first class.
The bathroom was quite tiny - not sure how a large person would cope with the shower as it is a tight fit getting in and out. The window in the room was small and had security glass which made the room dark.
Small room, slightly cramped for space between twin beds and between bed and wardrobe, but it was inexpensive!.
No dislikes.
Bathroom a little on the small side but still perfectly adequate, and we're hardly spending long in there.
Small top floor room. However room for family on a lower floor was much better and of a high standard. Pot luck - not really a dislike.
Room and en suite was smaller than expected but still very clean and comfortable.
The attic room was a little small dark and tired. Did not feel as if easy to relax in .
Bathroom also small , sink plug did not work properly and was cold as the radiator needed bleeding.
Nothing.
We booked five rooms - the other rooms were good and in some cases excellent. However, our room (grandparents) was right up the top. The room was hot, no large window (as such), at one point we couldn't open the door from the inside and had to take the key from the keyring and put under the door for our son to open from the outside. Couldn't get the shower working - son fixed that too.
Nothing.
Parking could be a bit of a hit or miss affair but we were fine it may
not suit anyone that would struggle with stairs other than that all good.
Should be called an Hotel as opposed to a Bed and Breakfast.
