  Very clean and recently refurbished. Staff veryt friendly and helpful. We stayed for 2 days and had our Dinner in the hotel on both days. (there is no where else to eat in the immdiate vicinity. So you need to book!) the meals were good quality and value for money around £10 for a main course and £5 for a starter. Breakfast was lovely and lots of ... ce que les gens disent » coffee ect. We are often reluctant to try new places but this one was lovely very homely. Will recommend this one to anyone wanting a break without th - Lovely country inn with a very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The public areas have a local, historic feel e.g. the downstairs bar still has the old stalls from horse drawn days; charming. The staff are friendly and efficient, the bar has a great selection of local beers and ales and the food is superb. Our room, while small, was extremely well appointed and comfortable, excellent en suite facilities with a super powerful shower, bliss. My wife and I had a wonderful time and will definitely go a

This was the one of the best beds we slept in while on our trip around England. Vince is a great host with good recommendations on what to do and how to get there. Shirley is an awesome cook and these were the best breakfasts we had in England. The location is very good - a 15 minute walk from the town so that we could enjoy wine with dinner and not worry about driving and there are lots of good restaurants in Bowness-on-Windemere - just ask Vince!

The double room with en-suite facilities was spotless with a beautiful view over the wonderful countryside.
