The Telstar - Photos
Ce que les gens disent
The Telstar was about the 15th hotel we had stayed in during our tour of England, and it was one of the best. Very reasonable rates, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and comfortable room, great wi-fi, excellent food and a clear commitment to the environment. We had one of the front rooms on the main road, but this was no problem whatsoever. We also parked (for free!) round the back, the benefit of which far outweighed the minor trickiness in getting out again. Lovely view of Exeter f. tous commentaires »
Loved the friendly efficiency, the decor, the attention to detail and
the breakfast. I thought at first that the mattress was uncomfortable,
but then slept like a log, so what do I know! A few minutes walk from
the train station but only a short walk into town, so perfect location
for our needs. Thank you in particular for looking after our bag for the
day and for the very welcome cup of tea and rest in the lounge before
our journey home, even though we had checked out several hours before.
Visit to Exeter Uni. Great location walk to Exeter St David's station and Uni from Telstar. Was able to leave wheelie bag at hotel even though we had checked out. Fabulous breakfast. Warm welcome with tips and map, seemed like nothing was too much trouble. Nice homely feeling to hotel. Will definitely stay again fingers crossed for grades. Thank you.
Location was perfect - 5 mins from the station and from town, and 15 minutes from the Uni campus. The people were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great - cereal, full English, and red bush tea! The sitting room downstairs was very cosy and good to have somewhere to sit (and iron...) other than the bedroom. Thank you, we had a lovely stay.
The staff were very friendly and were very helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. There were a good selection of hot drinks in the rooms. It was a very nice touch to have hand wash, body lotion and shampoo in the bathrooms. We didn't have breakfast but it smelt delicious!!.
Excellent, friendly hosts. clean, comfortable room/bathroom. Excellent facilities. Fabulous breakfast (full breakfast and buffet breakfast) using locally sourced ingredients. Comfortable and beautifully decorated dining room and lounge, lots of local information available. Plus wi-fi.
Very nice hotel located a couple of minutes walk from the city. We got a room in the back with our own garden! Friendly staff and clean rooms. The best hotel we stayed at during our visit to England! Excellent value for the money!.
Very close to Exeter shops and public transport. Excellent room with toiletries provided. Very welcoming staff with a great breakfast.Fantastic Weatherspoons just down the road. would definitely stay here again.
Cosy, friendly hotel. My room was small, but all you need, and beautiful decoration, and a great balcony with great view over the mountains. Very friendly and carrying staff.
Lovely room, friendly staff, good breakfast. Close to the university which we were visiting. Easy walk into town. All in all - was exactly what we needed.
very convenient for visiting the university. We were very kindly offered a parking space whilst we walked to the university open day.
Close location to city, good parking, handy weatherspoon pub nearby, comfortable modern feel to room. small but lovely shower/wc.
Helpful and friendly. Nice little courtyard and comfortable lounge to sit in. Lovely breakfast room using local produce.
Big tv, the shower, off street parking not too many stairs, location an friendly staff. Great place to stay.

Location and breakfast.
Great selection at breakfast.
Superbe breakfast.
staff were helpful.
Nothing - the hotel is excellent value for money and perfect for our purpose, which was to spend a day exploring Exeter.
We had difficulty finding the car park and when we did there was minimal space to park and had to leave our keys in reception in case other guests needed to go out.
That we were unable to stay longer!! We will definitely be back.
Good breakfast, but you have to wait for the preparation. I would prefer to have the basic on the buffet, not only the cereals, milk and marmelade.
Front room on 1st floor so traffic noise bit of a problem. Only 1 hanger in wardrobe! A little bit more attention to detail on the cleanliness was needed but overall it was a nice room.
The narrowness of the driveway.
The bathroom was a bit too small and our room was noisy (because of the cars in the street).
Breakfast was very good, but the service was hectic. The staff didn't seem to know what they were supposed to do.
No negatives.
N/a.
small bathrom.
Beds were a bit uncomfortable.
Road noise, the hotel is on a main road and windows are not doubleglazed.
The hotel was more like a guest house than an hotel. The car parking facilities were very tight and not easy to get a bigger car to in and out of. There was no bar or facilities to have a meal in the evening. Very disappointing.
,bathroom was very small, the double bed was two small singles put together owing to size of room, which made sleeping uncomfortable. behind the tv is a router that flashed green in bedroom in dark like a firework display,so covered over.
we stayed in winter and the room was quite cold at night.
difficult parking - but free.
No elevator.
Car parking, a tight squeeze!.
Family room was too small for a couple and a small child, the en-suite was in need of improvement. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Not worth the £85 a night.
People having to pass through dining room with suitcases to get to their cars during breakfast.
The parking, terrible. The owner offered to move my car if I blocked someone in! Ordered an extra item for breakfast and didn't get it. Not offered the choice of white/brown bread for toast, got brown. Shower either too hot or too cold.
Parking. was unable to park the car not enough space"s had to park down the road.
could not sleep due to traffic
bed uncomfortable
dated decor
too noisy could hear doors slamming next door..thin walls.
