    Carperby is a typical Dales small village, with a small number of Stone cottages/houses close to Leyburn & Hawes. The Wheatsheaf is a lovely friendly pub/hotel with 15 rooms and has some wonderful views, walks and local attractions. The management, Claire offer a clean comfortable environment with typical Yorkshire hospitality & good qua... ce que les gens disent » lity food (also nice log fire on cold days) A lively bar is frequented by many locals to provide a great atmosphere. Local beers & quality wines - From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The staff are so welcoming & really cannot do enough for you. Our room which was room 9 was a four poster & it was lovely, absolutely spotless. Food is great, also the real ales. Claire & Emily are great hosts, and really made our stay fantastic. We will be returning again very soon. Would highly recommended the Wheatsheaf, brilliant place, great location, absolutely stunning views.

    Absolutely loved staying at the Aysgarth Falls hotel. Staff were incredibly helpful and attentive and nothing seemed too much trouble, be it letting us store our bikes in the cellar or providing directions for trips out. We paid extra for the superior room and was certainly worth it, soaking in the huge roll top bath was a dream. Then rela - An absolutely fabulous renovation! Beautifully and sympathetically decorated and furnished throughout. The room we were staying in was a little small (room 8) but ample enough for a king size bed and this was the smallest room in the hotel. As we were only staying there for one night, it didn't really bother us, however, next time we stay we will try and book a room with a bath and shower.
