Wonderful welcome and hospitality despite my very late unscheduled arrival. Beautifully clean and maintained rooms in a lovely location. What a lovely couple, Alice and David are! So welcoming and friendly. We loved staying at Cambro House and will be staying again. We would recommend it everyone. Breakfast was great, you could have whatever you wanted, the rooms were clean and comfy, your en-suite was very spacious.

Can't speak highly enough about my brief stay at East View Guest House. Beautiful double aspect room, spotlessly clean with brand new en suite, plus a nice firm bed. I was in Carlisle for a running event which started at 7am, when I told the owner I was leaving at 5.30am she brought me a breakfast tray complete with flask of milk,croissant, banana, cereal and juice. Sorry I didn't find out her name. I rate this B&B as excellent

The owner was very friendly and gave us a genuine welcome. On both mornings we were served lovely hot breakfasts. In addition we all appreciated all the toiletries which were provided. The owner alliso explained to us shortest walk into town and gave us number of taxi firm to use. The taxi company was very fair and reasonable. -

Debbie gave us a really warm welcome, and knowing we were in Carlisle for a funeral, was caring and sympathetic throughout our stay. Our room was immaculate, well presented, warm and comfortable and the breakfast was a good English, delicious and well cooked. Definitely recommended.

The hotel was in a lovely setting in the select village of Wetheral, close to the city of Carlisle. Lovely walks by the river Eden, just minutes away and lots of history in the nearby St. Constantine's cell and the English Heritage abbey gatehouse. We could not fault the friendliness of the staff or the facilities provided. Good stop-over hotel not far from the motorway. Large comfortable bedroom with meals taken at adjoining restaurant. Meal deals on offer in the evening and excellent breakfast with good choice. Very friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant. Overall excellent value for money.
