  Our room was very clean and whilst not too large it suited us well enough. Lovely bathroom and shower. There was a wide selection of food for breakfast: yoghurt, fresh fruit, preserves, cereals, toast and cooked. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.   Pete and his wife run a very good Budget Hotel. Friendly and with good local knowledge. A very good, Hotel to Town Bus service, saves trying to find a parking place in the Town, for those that like walking it´s about 30-40 mins. along the lovely coast path., to walk the generous Breakfast off. We had a great time at Beechwood and if ever in St Ives again it would be our first choice. Value for Money? Ab - The owners are some of the nicest people I've ever met at a B&B. You get a full English Breakfast that is very good as well as fresh fruit, cereal, and yogurt. There is a park across the road for kids to play and the beach is very close. I would take a car or bus to the beach when traveling with small children as the hill is very steep. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. Amazing people and very patient with our young children.

  I was with my daughter and granddaughter who is 17months old. Our room was perfect. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb and included in the price. If you are looking for a boutique type hotel this is not for you, but I would stay here over any boutique hotel. The setting was magnificent. Even the walk back to the hotel from St Ives up the big hill was not enough to put me off going again. - The hotel was absolutely amazing! So friendly and had a lovely warm welcome and ports of smiles and politeness from all staff. Food was delicious and well presented. Our room was AMAZING, we had a beautiful view of the sea and the room was kept nice and clean everyday by the wonderful cleaning staff. We will be staying again with you in the future!   The location of course is fantastic, as are the views. What impressed me most is the fact that whereas many seaside hotels are looking a bit tired, the Pedn Olva has been (to my knowledge at least) renovated twice in the last ten years or so - the more recent earlier this year. The very pleaseant young woman proudly opened the bathroom door and said 'and here is the bath - This hotel is excellent all round. Location in the rocky cliffs with superb views from dinning area, bar and balconies is first class. The breakfast offers a choice for all tastes with lots of fresh fruit, bars snacks are good for a mid day nibble and the evening meal offers a wide variety of well prepared locally sourced food. Lovely small heated pool from which you can see the ocean as you swim. Staff completely helpful and friendly. What is there not to like? It isn't the cheapest in St Ive

  the staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly, the breakfasts were hearty and the service excellent, the bar was open late, hotel was easy to find. - fantastic, helpful staff and pleasant stay :)

  We liked how close it was to the station and that it was only a short walk down the hill to everything in the town. The manager William was very friendly and welcoming, breakfast was delicious, and he made us bacon sandwiches to take with us because we were leaving and didn't have time for a full breakfast was great!! Will definitely stay here again. - OMG the best experience in our European trip. We were welcomed by the manager, he insisted on taking our bags to the room, he offered us hints on our walk into town, wished us goodnight, cooked our breakfast and the ONLY one to wish us safe travels.
