  Our room was a decent size; although we had booked a double room we were given a family room with an extra single bed. There is a generous selection of teas and coffee with biscuits. The bathroom has nice quality shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The restaurant staff were polite and attentive. I can highly recommend the hotel and its very convenient for a trip to - The place is superb. And would still be at double the price: it's amazingly inexpensive. Character, comfort, calm, good food (offering both "bar" and "restaurant" menus - from the same kitchen - is a smart way of catering for every budget). The staff are really excellent and thoughtful. I can't imagine why anyone would stay anywhere else at Canterbury - or at the channel ports if you are en route to/from there, it's only a minute off the fast road. I certainly won't again.

The owners and staff are amazing and so friendly and helpful - they went out of their way to help us and make us feel at home. Great Breakfast and a wonderful place all round.
