The Prince Regent - Photos
Ce que les gens disent
I stayed 3 nights while attending the Labour Party Conference. Having booked in a hurry, I only checked the reviews at the last minute. They upset me a lot. But my experience was a lot more favourable and I can't help thinking many were very unfair. True, some of the hotel's claims are a bit over-hyped. My room was small & quite simple, on the 3rd floor, which I didn't mind. Light, clean, quiet, airy, reasonably comfortable, with a good en suite. The location was perfect for the conferen. tous commentaires »
I loved everything about the Prince Regent! The hotel itself is a Regncy
building which has been beautifully preserved, with care given to every
historical detail. The friendly landlady goes the extra mile to make the
guests' stay convenient and comfortable. The impeccable cleanliness
and location in elegant Regency Square, not to mention the price, makes
this hotel a gem that I will be visiting repeatedly and recommending to
everyone traveling to Brighton. If a guest wants to feel as though

The bed was extremely comfortable and all the facilities I required where there. I also had an excellent seaview but do believe I was given an upgrade as I booked a single and got a double, loved the room though. Great location as well. Parts were a bit worn but the price was spot on. Most improtantly it was clean.
I liked the style of the hotel and location. Just off the seafront the hotel has a typical laid back feel. Some may call the furnishings tatty but to me this felt like old Brighton - sort of style you come across at your nan's. I would definitely come back for a weekend stay with the wife!!.
The King room with balcony was amazing. Ellen was very friendly and helpful. Parking there was good value and much easier that using a public car park. Brilliant having a fridge in the room.Perfect location for town. Will be booking there again.
Fantastic location. Wonderful regency building with matching furniture and decor. Pleasant helpful manager. Great value for money compared to other places where we have stayed locally.
I loved the fact that the staff went the extra mile to make our stay that extra bit special.. thank you.
Really liked the location and my room had a sea view.
The staff were really friendly and informative.
Four poster bed with sea view and balcony. Very helpful staff (Ellen, thank you!).
Very helpful and good location to the shops and beach front where the cafe was.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Excellent location.
Good value.
It was quirky and a lovely building and fantastic location!.

Very clean hotel.
Location good for where I wanted to be.
Friendly staff and nice clean room.
Upgrade, (free), to four poster.
Helpful and quick.
Location. Quiet, private.
The owner was very friendly and looked after us. We used the on-site parking, which was good value at £12.50 a night, though the space was a bit tight. It was nice to have a fridge in the room.
location was good and close to waterfront and otherways were central station main street restaurants and shops lady who owns or runs the place couldn't have been nicer.
Friendly staff. Good location. OK room & facilities. Perfect for what we needed as simply a place to sleep. Pleasant.
Comfy bed.
Nice location.
Good housekeeping/cleaning.
Enough poweroutlets.
Beautifull view on the old pier.
nice hotel in great location, rooms are furnished a bit old-fashioned but quite alright.
I liked the decor, the staff were helpful and good location.
The staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly.

Location close to Brighton.
location is excellent!.
the price regent hotel had a lovely hot water supply and nice clean towels. lady did supply a small heater when asked as room was so cold and felt damp...Brighton is a interesting place with lots to see and do. people there are very pleasant. good selection of shops bars and restaurants and good night life.
Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Location very good - a stones throw from the beach and both Regency Restaurant and Al Fresco Restaurant.
The hotel is situated near the seafront on a pretty square. Had a small but clean room on the top floor, many stairs to climb...
great location with over the top decorations. Comfy though unusual four-poster bed. Quiet room.
Receptionist was friendly.
Very close to city centre.

nothing!!!.
nothing.
Selling breakfast for an offsite location that is more expensive than choosing to eat there, also restricted to a set menu. The restaurant was very good though but having paid £5 for the BB, I then had to pay an additional £1.80 for an orange juice as it wasn't included in the voucher.
Nothing.
Couldn't fault it on anything.
The bathroom has tiles coming up off the floor and it feels like your about to fall through.
The carpet needed a little hoovering.
Nothing.
No lift
Small bedrooms
No wifi in the bedroom.
Only complaint would be is very low water pressure in the shower.
Nothing negative.
Nothing.
Rooms were extremely hot. Lots of stairs!.
Some of the carpet, between the first and second floor, is quite loose on the stairs and could cause a fall.
small room and shower was smallest I have ever been in no cooling but probably rarely need it.
Expensive for what it was but as it was over Easter weekend, understandable.
We had a power shortage every 2 or 3 days, meaning no light at night.
And the window needs a fix, with windy wheater you could hear alot of noise.
mattress was a bit worn.
The stairs were steep, the shower was small and the soap holder fell off!.
Will not be staying again, it was too over priced, the walls were too thin and the bed was uncomfortable.
Tired decor needs refurbishment.
Chintzy
dated.
Room 412 was too small bed extremely uncomfortable and curtains were non existent. it was so bad that I went to the beach and got better sleep. Get curtains and a better bed. Apart from that excellent location.
Bed tiny 4ft. shower tiny both a struggle with a 6ft 2 inch tall partner.
more like a guest house than hotel . No food served .
A little tired and outdated.
The shower pressure is low, and room space is small than the photo you saw from website.
its a b & b not a hotel
bit tatty in places.
prince regent hotel i asked for a low floor and was put two floors up..the room was damp and cold..the curtains were a disgrace..the spare blanket for the bed was dirty and stained with holes in it.. the kettle lead had bare wires..no heating on room like a ice box. behind the bed was layers of dust and dirt.. i have photos if you want them.
The bed was very uncomfortable and well past it useful life. The panes of glass in the window were almost falling out due to the frame having rotted. It is very noisy at the front of the hotel although you get a sea view. Room was on 4th floor with steep and narrow stairs.
Very thin walls and no lift. Made my booking four months ahead of my stay, and the young male receptionist insisted that I hadn't booked and payed, and kept asking me if I made my booking the same day, when I repeatedly told him it was four months ago... Asked him to call letsbookhotel.com and he reluctantly agreed to do so, and by magic, he found my booking and receipt. They forgot to clean my room one day, because the manageress wasn't there, strange excuse.
Poor bathroom facilities. Shabby but definitely not gentile. Not for the easily shocked.
Shabby room up four flights. Several lights not working. Bed was very old, worn out and uncomfortable.
Initial room was a bit dated ended up changing room as light in bathroom didn't work.
Room very small, did not know that would be a 4th floor without elevator, I had trouble sleeping because the mattress is widely used and old.
no wi-fi internet connection in rooms.
Everything else - this is so basic.
the curtains hanging off the thread bare carpets and the fourth floor and the tiny room.
there was not much to like! No heating on the Friday night and it was very cold, came on late saturday. the general appearance is scruffy and run down and very poor value for money.
Everything else.
There were some insects in the cupboard!!!.
Small, dirty, shabby, over priced!!!!!.
everything.
