  there is so much to say about this place. It is an experience of the finest country house you could hope to be a guest of. The staff are available but completely unintrusive, in perfect synchronization with the stately impression that the house commands.   Had good reports from friends about The Outbuildings and were not disappointed. Good contact prior to arrival so we were able to book in early to change for a business meeting. Made very welcome and offered coffee & cake after our journey. The room was spotless, warm (freezing outside) and very comfortable.   What a gem! First of all, the location was magnificent! I wish we could have stayed so much longer. The room and bath were huge and so very comfortable. The shower was amazing and that from two very spoiled Americans! The food and service in the restaurant were exceptional.
