  The warmth and hospitality from the moment we stepped in, the warmth, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff upon arrival and throughout - and it was genuine in the personalities, it came through a natural friendliness. Some lovely touches also .. 2 bottles of water on our bedside tables when we arrived and also a cupboard in the hallway with essential items for guests to use if they were out. Would highly recommend the Cartref Guesthouse. We will stay again next time we are Caernarfon. We had a lovely overnight stay and will be back.

When we arrived the room was not yet ready (I’m pretty sure we were early) but the staff immediately got on the phone to get the room ready and directed us to a guest lounge and brought a tray of coffee.   One of the most picturesque locations off a Premier Inn I have ever stayed at. Nicely situated with the harbour close by and Caernarfon Castle. Stayed overnight before onward journey to catch a Ferry to Ireland. Arrived late in the evening and the Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is just across the road with a small charge or free parking further up the road. - The reception staff were always friendly and willing to help in any way. The room was spacious, well-appointed, clean and warm. The recommended free car-park is close. The town is only five minutes walk down the quay, and the Record Office for genealogists is about three minutes walk. The attached restaurant serves excellent meals from breakfast to dinner, and the staff there are also excellent, giving great service.

Ideally located for our planned visits where welcoming suggestions for further activities were offered. Due to its rural location I would say you definately need transport of some form as the neighbouring villages and surrounding areas have a lot to offer.
