  We stayed in a deluxe double room which was spacious with a four poster bed and jacuzzi bath. We had a sea view room which was beautiful. If you are going to stay at this hotel we highly recommend you pay the extra £20 a night for a deluxe room. Just far enough outside Aberystwyth to be peaceful, yet close enough to get a pizza delivered (and local calls are free from the phone in the kitchen). My room was spotless, the guest house both friendly and quiet, and breakfast delicious--I especially liked the cherry tomatoes, cheese, croissants, and fruit. Julian, the proprietor, and Marlena, who helped him, were gracious hosts. It was perfect for the reason I went to Aberystwyth--to do research at the - Good room. Great breakfast. Excellent service. I was very late coming in from Falmouth, Cornwall. At 7.30 pm, 30 minutes before the latest check-in time of 8.00 pm I was still in Bristol, more than 3 hours drive from Aberystwyth. I phoned the house and informed that I would arrive 11.00 pm and Marlena, the housekeeper said no problem, she could wait for me. I arrived 10.50 pm, and Marlena opened the door after just one press of the door bell.
