  The hotel staff was very helpful, they picked us from the train station and gave us rides to town on a few days. They also organized the stay for our 1yr old daughter well with baby cot in the room and baby chair always waiting at our table.   Hotel Edelweiss was fantastic. We were met at the train station by Suzanne, owner, and taken to the hotel. All the staff were friendly and very happy people. Peter, owner, Monika & Tanja were always willing to help and always ready for a chat. Peter introduced us to the town and welcomed us personally to the hotel with free pre-dinner drin... ce que les gens disent » ks. They always made us welcome. The hotel is set in the valley between magnificient mountain views. The town is quiet and calming. So much to do - If in Engelberg, I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It's not only for the warmth shown by the owners (Kuhn family), its a kids friendly hotel. It is less than 10 mins walk from the station, but with luggage it is not possible to walk (steep roads).... the staff is ever ready to escort to / from the station in their vans (they just need to be informed). A nice view from the balconies + the church bell sound every hour, gives a superb feeling............
