  Awesome staff, really nicely designed rooms, many friendly guest. The hostel is located on Galle Road really close to Majestic City, so it is very central. The price is amazing, I would definately recommend this to all backpackers who need a cheap but nice place to stay. It just opened a while ago, so it looks really nice in there. Apart from the ... ce que les gens disent » dorms, where four people share a room, they also have private rooms, but there you have to book earlier. - Low price, TV with several good cable channels, great air-con & wifi access in the room, decent breakfast, friendly staff, right across the road from the Barefoot cafe and store which had amazing lunches.

  I did not end up staying here but I did visit the place. It may be a bit hard to find as it is a flat within a five floor apartment. The ocean is just about 100 meters for the building. The staff was really nice. - The beauty of the location, cleanliness, and the care, cooperation and dealings of the staff.

  The Colombo City Hostel is run by the friendliest staff I have ever met. It is immaculately clean, with modern rooms, 6 individual toilet/showers and an open plan kitchen garden area that is always tidy thanks to the housekeeper Asoka. We were invited to local parties and met many many people (locals, ex-pats and travellers) through the hostel. The people - Colombo City Hostel may be the best hostel I have stayed at so far! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the manager Kathleen is super-organised and always into planning fun activities. The Hostel is extremely clean and tidy, located close to a supermarket and bank and only a short tuktuk ride away from everything in Colombo (and the beach!). I enjoyed my stay so much that I ended up returning to Colombo City Hostel several times during my stay in Sri Lanka. Staying at the Hostel felt
