  This is a stunning hotel in a stunning setting. Surrounded by mountains on three sides with far reaching views across the countryside.   Just got back and everything about this place is as good as earlier reviews say it is. I was tempted not to add comments so I could keep this gem to myself. We were staying B/B so cannot comment on the evening meal but the breakfast was excellent, with choice galore & as much (or little) as you wish from fresh fruit, cooked and continental br... ce que les gens disent » eakfasts, omelettes etc. The hotel staff & their service is great throughout from the front desk, bar-staff to the nice ladies who clean the rooms - The staff are excellent: professional and competent whilst also friendly and good humoured. The Hotel Illa d'Or has a magnificent setting, with wonderful views both of sea and mountains; and located in a quiet spot towards the end of the Pine Walk, which makes a lovely short promenade to the centre.   Great location, great view from the "sea view" room. Excellent food selection during both breakfast and especially dinner. Nice entertainment in the evenings. The room is of a decent size event for a 15 nights stay. Good a/c in the room. Very friendly staff, always smiling and eager to help. Nice pool area with great cocktails at the bar. It was clean , well ran , friendly and one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The food was excellent and plenty of variety. The rooms were cleaned daily. Clean towels when needed.   I must say thanks to Rudy and Carlos, the apartment was really really nice, clean and new, situated between playa de ombossa and the port. The staff is really kind, I really suggest to go there. - perfect location, very very clean and very gentile!!!

  A very pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. We took the half board buffet option and the food was good, well prepared and with a variety of options. The pool we used was extremely clean, large, with free towels, nice happy hour offers from 16:30 to 17:30 and almost always deck chairs to spare - the kids loved it! Gym is - Probalby the best hotel in Mallorca! It's actually apartments so you can cook in there (all amenities available) and supermarket Eroski nearby. Very good value for money if booked in advance and not in the high season. Extremely clean, good sound isolation of rooms, good fitness facilities, sauna and indoor pool. We really liked the animators, quite professional and entertaining (arranged for quiz nights and local dances). Overall, totally recommended!

Indoor pool and gym also available, but we did not use it. Very good choices at breakfast and also for dinner.
