  Pension Alameda is family owned. The whole family is very willing to help. Some have limited English. The room is clean. As other have commented it is a bit noisy. But then you are based at the square which is full of life in the weekends. It didn't disturb me, but I imagine it might be a but noisier in the high season. Good value for money.   We liked basically all. Starting from really good reception, the rooms were better than we hoped. We are definitely going back there, because it was incredible place for the holiday.   Excellent location in city centre. The staff were helpful and friendly at all times and we liked the 24hr reception desk which made us feel secure in the hotel. The building had lots of character with lovely internal courtyards and interesting paintings and furnishings. We stayed in the junior suite (room 103) which was amazing.   We went away as a short break Sat until Tue 17/12/13 as celebrating my 50th Birthday & Marrying my wife on the same day. The hotel is fantastic & staff are great, the food & presentation was out of this world & we were made to feel very welcome. When we arrived we were given Champers while we were in reception & then - The location is just perfect being right on the marina with lots of bars and restaurants. Food choice and quality was excellent with something for everybody. Breakfasts were particularly good with everything from muesli to a full English including lots of fresh fruit and freshly baked breads of every description. During our stay our fellow guests were on the whole the 'mature' variety and the evening entertainment suited that age group perfectly and suited us as well. Staff were very friendly
