Hostal Pons - Photos
Ce que les gens disent
It is full of atmosphere, old world charm (feels like an original old mallorcan town house). Old tiled floors, original features everywhere, some parts are renovated but in the style of the original building. Outside there are cafes, coffee shops in the plaza. a few mins walk to the harbour/marina.
The hostel is located very close to the old town of Palma, in a very nice and typical old buildilg, the room with private bathroom we got was small but very nice, it's a very good choice and not expensive, I advise it! The staff was very kind, gave us many tips about restaurants and things to do.tous commentaires »
Delightful place, right in the medieval heart of Palma, so within walking distance of everything. The place doesn't feel like a hostel at all: large rooms, nicely furnished, plenty of open space (both inside and outside). The owner is very helpful. I would stay there again.
Follow the tips Sebastiao (from the reception) will give you, they are
great tips to enjoy the real Palma.
Great location in the center yet completely quiet. Really nicely decorated common rooms and pretty courtyard - we even had home grown oranges complimentary.. nice!.
The building is beautiful... Old style local house ...charming!
Location is really good for exploring the city. Calm neighborhood, cute streets and many closeby options for a coffee, restaurants and bars.
The staff were super helpful, friendly... I felt really welcome!.
It was a really wonderful stay, a hotel full of old world character, extremely quiet yet in the heart of the city. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Having stayed in various hotels in Palma I would recomend Hostel Pons above all others in this price range.
The location is very good - it's in the middle of the historical
center. The hostal is stylish and contains plenty of nice and old
furniture and the owner was helpful. During warmer months (anytime
except winter) it might be a good choice.
The location was excellent and very easy to find. The place is a wonderful 'house' in the heart of Palm with all the original features of an old Mallorcan hosue. Plus the staff is very friendly! I highly recommend this place.
everything..the deco was just brilliant.. even A house cat and A house dog..it was like living in someones privet house from A long time ago.. super and so helpful staff..highly recommended..thank you for A lovely stay..
Location couldn't have been better. Right in centre, masses of cafes/restaurants and buses easy to reach. Lovely old building, fascinating, ideal for independently minded people. Perhaps better in warm weather.
Excellent location in centre of city. Beautiful traditional hostal. The owner Sebastian is very welcoming & helpful for finding out about Palma. Good storage for our bicycles.
It is really a special place with it's unique vibe. Don't expect any kind of luxury, rather than sort of complicated space and enriching place to stay (in a good way).
The owner is very kind, very hospitable!! He has good advice for restaurants and oder places to visit. It's a lovely hostel, very cosy!! It has a lot of caracter.
It has a lot of character, is animal friendly and very picturesque. The owners are super friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to help us.
Delightful and extremely helpful staff. Great location right in the old town and central to everthing while also feeling really medieval as a Street.
This is an amazing hotel... A converted mallorcan house with bags of character and Sebastian who runs it was incredibly friendly and helpful.
friendly proprietor, close to everything. Perfect for exploring Palma. warm and fluffy comforters.
Excellent service, friendly staff gave good tips about the town. The location is also ideal.
Very charming place at a great location. Good value for money deal and an excellent host!.
Good location close to old town. Friendly family run.Clean. Old eclectic spacious house.
Best Hotel ever, then genuinity and familarity was totaly priceless!.
Beautiful old house in old town with nicely done room.
location and staff and overall ambience was amazing.
Central, social, friendly, authentic.
friendly staff, nice decor.
Just about everything.
Very nice old mansion.
Колоритная обстановка.
central situation.
Sebastian, the owner, is a very helpful and friendly guy. I had only one short day in Palma and he helped me plan my day, what to do and where to go. Although Hostal Pons is a bit hard to find (in a small street near El Corte Ingles on Avenida Jaume III) , it is located near many tapas bars and restaurants and is pretty close to the waterfront. Close to many of the most important sights in Palma. A fan in the room would have been nice.
1-Good location to visit the city, in the old city.
2-Quiet room, without noise.
3-I liked the old Spanish style furniture, the other stuff and the yard.
4- The owner Sebastian and the workers were friendly.
5- Good value for the money, we can't want all by a cheap price..
6- Wifi worked, as i want.
The owner was very friendly from what I saw of him. Nice spacious room
& I was also lucky to have another room between mine & the
corridor although it appears pretty quiet anyway. It was a good price
& I liked the location.
The owner was very friendly and helpful.
In center of old town of Palma.
If your room is close to the corridor that goes to the shared bathrooms it can be a little bit noisy, for those who wake up easily, for us it was not such a problem!.
Rooms are a bit "underfurnished", E.G. no bed-light available,
but seems due to the fact that the placewas growing rapidly recently and
the owner goes step-by-step iI'm furnishing.
Wifi does not work in the rooms, though you can take the chance to sit in the living room, shared areas, where wifi works pretty well.
* The sink and the mirror in my room looked like props from some horror
movie and where in sharp contrast with the rest of the room.
* It was really cold in my room (but to be fair it was probably the coldest part of the year). It took plenty of time for the electric radiator to make the temperature bearable.
Nothing.
nothing really. oh maybe that it was no breakfast but it is A top class hostel..
Lack of good lighting in room, no bedside lamp and quite cold in room, draughty. Better in warm weather and with a travelling companion, thus out more in evening.
Nothing we didn't like. I will come back if I am again in Palma!.
N/A.
Nothing.
Couldn't get connected to WiFi with laptops, android tablet and iPhones connected flawlessly.
Nothing.
A bit hard to shave: No mirror at hot-water sink in shower area, no hot water in room sink with mirror.
the only thing is the sound insulation is not good and foot steps from the corridor can be quite loud.
Bathroom quite far from room.
bed was a little uncomfortable.
Nothing - maybe a few mosquitoes.
Wifi Connection not so good.
Кровати красивые, старинные, но непрочные :-).
bed too foft.
No reading light over bed, broken hot water faucet in sink in my room. I didn`t like that the common shower room I was supposed to use had no door. It was open to the hallway and therefore easy for anyone to see others before and after showering (ie. naked). There were other bathrooms with showers which were private, however, and I used one of those on my second day.
1- I had asked a lamp to read in the bed, at night, but when i arrived i don't had one; after the young man from the reception put one but the light was very weak.
2- Room without Tv, only if i wanted to rent one.
3- As in others hotels, the owners forget to have a rubber carpet in the shower, so with the water and soap is possible to slip and to break a leg in the shower.
The owner couldn't always guarantee to be there so I had to take the
gigantic key-ring & 2 massive keys around with me. It was a cold
room with no heating. My bed wasn't made while I was there.
The single room had no external window and no air conditioning, as it was said in the announce. Plus noise and light coming from the stairs. Maybe the other rooms are better.
very noisy in the room next to the stairs.
Ensuite was behind a curtain in the bedroom. No hot water. No hair dryer. Very small room, no wardrobe.
