très bien placé, en plein centre des ramblas, proche mer et marché. Très bon accueil, chambre de bon standing. Attention si chambre donnant sur rue, demander en une avec double vitrage (porte fenetre et non fenetre coulissante) - Sa siuation est très agréable, au centre ville. Par contre c'est assez bruyant si la chambre donne sur les Ramblas.

La Ramblas. It was a beautiful hotel right in the center of everything.
The finishings were beautiful with a luxurious feel in the common areas
as well as in the rooms. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were
quiet. Nice big towels and very nice large bath sheets. Out of the 5
hotels we stayed at in Spain, this was our favorite.

The location was wonderful. Had very close access to everything we wanted to do and see. You could have an inexpensive quick meal or sit down for a more elegant dining experience and all within a two minute walk. The staff was wonderfully helpful and competent. Santiago was a tremendous help to me when I was have some trouble with my airline. Everything is easily within walking distance. All in all it was a great location. We did have a room that did not face the street so we slept comfortably

Très bon accueil, les concierges de l'hotel sont tous accueillants et sympathiques. Il y en a même un qui parle français. Il y a aussi la situation de l'hotel au coeur de la Rambla, très pratique, animé, le balcon de la chambre donne une belle vue sur l'avenue. Staff was really helpful and friendly. There's two different guest houses in nearby buildings, one is rather communal backpacker style and the other is quieter. I was in the former (without knowing what I was getting into), and they were easy going about moving me into the latter. Good kitchen set up. The backpacker place was actually pretty nice for that sort of thing, just not what I was looking for (I'm a bit older than that now, and like my peace and quiet!).

The staff are top-notch. Very few luxury hotels are able to balance friendliness with efficiency like Hotel Bagues. It's a rare gift to offer the experience they do for guests. The ambiance of the hotel is fantastic, too, and despite being on the La Rambla - with a room overlooking it - at night we could only hear the faintest of sounds. Luxuriously decorated, but cosy, the entire hotel is a really lovely experience.
