  This didn't feel like any other hotel, it was like you were staying in someone's home - from the decor to the breakfast to the way we were treated. The double room we got was very comfortable and it looked like a little cottage in the city. The owner was very friendly and helpful (and spoke excellent English). The room was so homey-it was nice to go out in the rain and go "home" to a warm and comfortable room. The heaters worked quickly and the room was large and clean. The breakfast in the morning was good-tea/coffee and an assortment of bread products (and fruit and yogurt, if desired).   The room is inside a student residence and looked brand new. It was spacious with a nice bathroom and there was also a cooking area with kitchen utensils. There is a communal area on the ground floor where you can meet other travellers. The men on the reception were very friendly and helpful. The residence is situated in a mixed African/Arab neigh... ce que les gens disent » bourhood, but it didn't seem unsafe. It is easy to walk to the Guggenheim from the residence and it is also close to Abando station. - Close to train station and old town. Lovely helpful man on reception that spoke English and gave us information. Also moved us to a different room on request. Free wifi. This place is uni halls of residence, so rooms are small with single beds, but you have bathroom with shower +clothes line over it, and little kithchen area with cooking hob, microwave and fridge. We really value the small things like being able to make a cup of tea when you want one.

  Excellent studio room in the heart of Bilbao - ours had a little balcony looking onto the lovely Old Town street. Clean, spacious, comfy bed, lots of natural light. Very short walk from metro and tram stops, as well as all the old town sites, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Guggenheim is a pleasant 30 min stroll along the river, and the Centro... ce que les gens disent » area is easily accessible by foot or the metro/tram. The wonderful staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - highly recommend! - Really lovely apartment run by wonderful staff who were very accommodating and gracious to us after a misunderstanding with payment. The owner even offered us umbrellas due to the rainy weather! Apartment is spacious, super clean and right in the heart of Old Town. It's also very close to the metro making it easily accessible by foot and public transport. I would definitely recommend Arriaga Suites!
