The bed was of really good quality, and the linen was also. Great to get into a comfy bed after the day in such a a great city. Sowes/toilets always in good condition and enough to share with the few guests staying. Microwav/fridge in hallway leading to a small terrace which is good for chilling out..

This place is amazing. Our room was very clean and functional. It is close to the downtown. Also extremely convenient that La Isla Hostal is a couple of blocks from Estacio Nord (bus station) and Estacio de França (railway station). Friendly and helpful stuff. In my opinion, it is an ideal choice for budget-minded travelers.

Very friendly and helpful host, he will give you a city map and give you advices when you first arrived. There is no ensuite room but shared toilet is very clean, and there are 2 toilets in each floor so you may not even have to share with anyone else. There is hair dryer as well.

Actually everything was good enough, even the thing that apartment was tiny was not a problem, enough for family of 3 people... location is great, near city center around 3 km. The apartment was very contemporary and so was the rest of the building. The rooftop pool and sun bathing area had gorgeous views. We had our beds made everyday and bins emptied everyday which was very convenient. Half way through the week that we spent there, we also had 'deep cleaning' which we appreciated too. The fact that there was wifi was an extra bonus.

Good location. Friendly owners. Nice design. Big balcony where you can sit with your friends or family members and look at the street throught the big windows. There are some good coffees near the hotel, 100 metres, where you can have a breakfast and dinneer. Nice places. -

1) Wonderful staff - Alex was great but George was amazing - both really helpful and kind. Anything in their porwer will be done for your convenince stay.
2) Hostel description states that there are no hairdriers, but there actually is. Also, if you need George would bring you an iron. - something other places would normally charge for.

A really small business with only about 8 rooms. Really friendly staff, very welcoming and explained everything when we got there. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. The room had double glazed doors so there was hardly any street noise and the building itself is gorgeous! It's walking distance to La Sagrada Familia and just about walking distance to Las Ramblas and then onto the beach. It's also very close to Tetuan metro stop. The hostal is a very nice apartment (or two joint apartments) on the 3rd floor of a beautiful modernist house, with these old-style elements like shutters, tiled floor, wicker sofa, and separate taps for cold and hot water, and our room had a beautiful little balcony with forged railings.

The entire hostal has great design features and the owners knew what vintage furniture pieces to ad in order to preserve its wonderful architecture. I especially loved the strained-glass windows and the original tiles in all rooms. My room was spaceous, with a great street view from the small balcony. The location is perfect: 5 minutes walk to Paseig de Gracia and another 5 minutes to Placa de Catalunya (also, metro stations and bus stations are very close). The owners are really nice and ready

Overall a great place to stay. It is only a 15 minute walk from Las Ramblas and many other major atttractions, but is in a nice quiet location. It is also only a few minutes walk to the nearest Metro stations, which provide easy access across Barcelona. The room was fairly small, but was well decorated; was lovely and clean; and was quiet. It also had a nice balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful and offered good sightseeing tips.

Charming old building very well maintained. Beautiful interior made you feel like you were paying a visit to a time long ago.Beautiful floor to cieling windows at least twelve feet tall in the breakfast room allowed you to see a large part of the city. The antique elevator adds great charm, since the cielings are so tall its a long climb up or down the stairs so the elevator is apprteciated and fun to ride.
