  Hostal Baler is considered one of the budget friendly hostals. Although the room was small, but for me as solo person was good. The location of the hostal is excellent , its almost 2 mins away from the magnificent Plaza Espagana. You have alot of facilities in the hostal area (shops , cafes, etc..). There was a small tv in the room with an armoir, a sink, a mirror/medicine cabinet, and coat hangers. Towels and extra blankets were also included. Overall atmosphere in the place. - Staff was very polite and helpful! Room very clean. Not far from city center, next to metro station. I would recommend to everyone.   The apartment-sharing style feeling rather than being in a soul-less hotel. Pablo was extremely welcoming and devoted to provide a great stay: breakfast was served for my early rising, he gave me tips on great tapas place, etc. Really a great host. The location is perfect on a residential street with bakeries and groceries - It's very nice appartment, almost in the center of the city, 10 minutes walking from Plaza de Espana and 15 minutes - from Plaza de Catalunya. Location is great. And Paulo, the host, was very nice and helpful. Room was quite comfortable and clean. But there are 5 rooms and you have to keep quiet to not disturb your neighbors . Minimal breakfast is included .
