  The staff (that means the owner Carmen and her friends) at Hotel Holos were simply amazing. This was personalised service in the extreme. One simple example is we were given a printed list of restaurants that the staff really like - and these were not the typical hotel list where they earn commission. The location was absolutely brilliant, right in the heart of Santa Cruz and close to the cathedral. It was amazing to get such good value accommodation in this spot. The staff were lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities are basic, but for people on a budget, the Vergara is a cut above.
