52 De Wet is an amazing boutique hotel nested in a cul-de-sac uphill Bantry Bay. The room we stayed in was HUGE (Penthouse), with ample space, comfortble bed, two spacious walk-in closets, luxurious bathroom (bathtub with seaview was great). Love, love, love the Strandloper Boutique Hotel. 5 star luxury is the only way to describe it. Relaxing luxury. A birds eye view of the ocean & it's right on the the beach. There is no bed like your own bed, but this one I could have packed up & taken home. Excellent service and wonderful staff. Where Heaven meets Earth.

This hotel lived up to all our expectations and more. We arrived at 10.30am and expected to just leave our luggage, but we were given our room straight away. The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly, the hotel is almost a B&B but with private facilities, easy to walk to most in town attractions, excellent breakfast very good and convenient before the start to the day, good connection to WIFI. They also have a good network of local experts if you are looking for a guide (ask for Domingo)
