-Parking was clearly marked and in the basement of the building, very secure and free -In general the hotel is very secure needing your room card to access elevators and so on -The room was neat and clean all mod cons -Great big flat screen TV -Awesome comfortable extra length bed -Neat and modern bathroom -Ordered drinks from the bar area and requested ice and so on and the staff were great -Had a modern alarm/fm radio/mp3 player in room which was cool, could pop my iPod -Ample plug points -D.

Everything. From the time we checked until we left we were impressed with the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness and comfort of our room, and the food in the restaurant. The overall hotel premises are well maintained, and we would definitely recommend it. When Hilton take over in April 2013, we hope that they will continue to keep up the high standards of the present management. The hotel is well laid out, has comfortable and stylish rooms (with a fantastic power shower) and a great bar/restaurant. The location isn't ideal for tourists but the V&A waterfront and long street are only a short/cheap taxi-ride away/ Excellent value for money. The room was spacious and comfortable. Parking was safe and, despite being in a busy area, the hotel environment was quiet and peaceful. There is also easy access to Cape Town's restaurants and places of entertainment. We enjoyed our stay at Double Tree. The staff were excellent, professional & friendly & very accommodating . The rooms were clean & comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & look forward to coming back & the cookies were "to die for..." Thank you. I liked mostly the friendly staff at the hotel, their rooms are very nice with the modern furniture. The have secure parking and thier elavators are beautiful, I like their italia style of the apperance of the hotel its very nice. I absolutely adore the chocolate chip cookies on arrival! Nothing. The hotel was not aware of our booking when we arrived, but this was sorted out quickly and efficiently. absolutely nothing, I enjoyed my stay at upper eastside hotel. It took more than an hour for our food to come in the restaurant, and instead of hiding away the waiter could have offered a round of drinks as consolation or a free dessert? He should have also been more communicative as to the problem rather than hiding away. When the meal did come it was lovely. Sometimes during the day, the lifts were extremely busy. Hotel is close to Cape Town center, but localisation is not the best - in the middle of nowhere. Without GPS, it is almost impossible to get to hotel using only a city map. No adverts or signs in nearby localisation. Location not the greatest from a security side but adequate hotel security and overall hotel price ,location convenience and facilities are definitely enough to lure me back. In my room the entrance light and bathroom mirror light not working. Also loose basin mixer. Towels were replaces on the rail, still wet after housekeeping not always a mat for the shower, one day there is, the next there isn't. It's in a poor location but the hotel itself is really nice. Staff could be a little better trained, but were very friendly and trying their best! No concierge service, had to carry my own bags from porte cochere to reception. No mini-bar. Gym is very small so at 0500 in the morning no space as the three pieces of equipment occupied. No view. Queen size rooms was a bit small and cramped. Put this hotel in city center and it would be 100% perfect. Key card did not work in the lift. Cleaner opened our room door without knocking while we were getting dressed. Television and heating in the room was not working properly. The bathroom, soap dispensers. I preferred a sealed product rather than a re-usable one. I didn't get wi-fi on the first day. Not so keen on the location. the prices on the bookings.com was not the same as the actual hotel prices. bookings.com should update their databases accordingly. nothing. check-in took forever, the front office staff need serious training. also, all the guests' cards didn't work in the lift and one of the staff managers wasted another 15 minutes trying everyone's card before he took out his own card. really, i was in a hurry, and this guy was fiddling with cards. not the best solution, and all the guests were just irritated. My bed and room cleaned after 3 when i returned for the day. None really. Industrial area. Location with respect to local restaurants and shopping. Location not brilliant and it was only luck that I got a mountain view and not a view over the industrial park. distance from waterfront but the shuttle was good and convenient. Area is not really turistic, hotel is safe anyway. DSTV should have more channels. no dvd /laptop can connect to tv . Had always looked forward to the vegetarian meals from the weekly specials - this time there weren't any. And the limited vegetarian choices on the menu were boring - there are only so many times you can eat butternut ravioli!. There wasn't anything I didn't like. 2 pieces of jewelry went missing in our room. One which we recovered from a cleaning staff with much perseverance. Location ghastly.
