Room was cozy and clean, wifi works perfect, morning meal is provided which is good, ladies in reception desk were really kind and nice, location was just perfect - so near to city center but not loud, and a good grocery store is just in 5 min. We wanted to book in the same building, but contacted Altburg somewhat too late, and it was already fully booked. We got a room in a different hotel of the same chain. We had late mornings and fully used - The hotel is very comfortable and clean, the personnel is very nice, smiling and polite. They offered a breakfast any time when we woke up! I had a solo room for 4 nights and enjoyed a million dollar view of the onion domes of the Church on Spilled Blood. At 2 A.M. I could walk to many tourist spots, especially the Church of the Savior on Blood is 2-3 mins on foot from the hotel.

  The staff was very polite and understanding. The room was very clean with a maid coming in every day. The location is right next to Nevsky Prospect (1 minute walk). Beware that 60% of the aparts in St Petersbourg have no private bathrooms and kitchens, but this one does!
