  excellent stay! i travel the world over, just about every week I'm in a new place but have never stayed at a Kempinski before. The staff we great. The room was great. I got upgraded and dont even know why as i dont have a Kempinski loyalty card - but i do now! Will definitely stay again.   We've spent about 8 weeks in St. Petersburg over the past 5 years as students, and our dorms were located in old Soviet apartment blocks; so this hotel was a welcomed change for our short visit back to Peter!! The hotel was very clean, which surprised me as most of St. Petersburg is on the dirtier side. I thought that aspect of the visit was excel... ce que les gens disent » lent. It also appeared that the rooms had been recently refurbished, with laminate wood flooring, an updated bathroom, and nice furnishings and wardro - A very correct hotel, with extremely large bar/ dining room complex and a pub open late. Excellent food in that pub (which is a rare thing to find in that town). Excellent coffee, and plenty of space to comfortably read a paper. Location is excellent - not right at the center with all its tourist traps but a little kickback at calm Vasilevsky Island. A very good place on the whole although on the expensive side.

I arrived at 10 am and the stuff kindly checked me in, no questions asked. the stuff was very kind and professional. the concierge were professional and helped me to find places and activities in my interest. i left at 6.30 am, the check out was very fast and the hotel arranged me a lunch box with some breakfast in it for ... ce que les gens disent » the way - because i left before breakfast - without extra charge. Also, the location of the hotel is superb, right in the center of the city. - The level of staff service and support was the best we have ever encountered. My wife lost her bag in the taxi from the airport ...being Russia we gave up any hope of getting it back. The hotel staff moved into action immediately, sent their driver to the airport and made sure we got it back ( within a few hours). They didn't have to do that but were genuinely concerned. The room, the breakfast, the location on Nevsky Prospekt, closeness to the metro ...just perfect.

  We get the smart deal so the room was big for a small price. This is a big business hotel so there are services according to. - The room was ok. The location was also ok. It took 15 minutes from the hotel to the center of St. Petursburg by car.
